Feathercoin network up 3 % over 2 days- NETWORK ATTACK?

The attack may have switched to Phenixcoin. I was just checking the current hash figures…

PXC just came through a highly profitable phase. Maybe just have been flash miners.

Someone find me this guy’s address and I’ll go knee cap him for everyone…
Or instead of violence, counter their actions with their own code of ethics. DDOS 'em.
DDOS? They can just move then. If I kneecap them they are pretty stationary.
Cut off their fingers instead and then they can’t type. I don’t care if they walk around.

Hashrate just doubled?

Hashrate just doubled?
Difficulty about to go down; so maybe thats why.

Looks like difficulty is about to drop significantly in another 16 blocks, should bring some more miners in again and buy us some breathing space.
I agree that we need the Advanced Checkpointing though, and I’m glad Bush is working on getting this out there.

So Cryptsy is literally waiting on an update from us before they resume FTC trading.
BitJohn: @Kevlar: nothing we find out the same way everyone else does lol reading forums the FTC folks dont talk to us directly unlike many other coins
The cryptocurrency prejudice has to stop.
But, the (cryptocoin) public’s attitude towards attacks has to change before the attacks will stop.
Many see these “attacks” as “deserved” and “good”.
We need to start with the yute’s and educate them at an early age that attacking cryptocoins is wrong.Stop coinism!
;)

Adresses are useless because they are “anonym” and you cant take no action (blocking) against them.
Would be great if the !coin creator! could block address in worst case scenarios like this - to go one step further if he could withdraw coins from adress which are used for “criminal” purpose

with all the alt and not so good creator(e.g: nuggets :o) around some coins i would run if this was possibleaddress can be good if you trade and found he trade with you so you find him. but unlikely to be notice or even happen

My latest analysis of the situation is
Either, the attacker is moving round the coins - Phenixcoin - Worldcoin etc, from the upped instant hash rates to the 24 Hr average. Or there is some other (possible dangerous) auto mechanism switching miners around. I’ll be sort of pleased, if its the latter.
Is there any news of those coins how are our “partner” coins doing?
The attack has to be from Litecoin or Bitcoin miners, because the hash power required. Hopefully they lost some Litecoins moving their rigs over to do the scrypt network attacks.

There appears to be some sort of issue with the FTC client. I’m not sure whether it’s related to the attacks or not, but in my client, ‘mintime’ was almost 2 hours off from the current time for a while, resulting in many rejected shares.
It’s still over 30 minutes off as I write this:
$ feathercoind getblocktemplate {} | grep ntime
“mintime” : 1374235229,
$ date +%s
1374232575
$ bc
1374235229-1374232575
2654
This caused 100% rejected shares on my pool for about 3 hours until I patched stratum with a larger allowance for incorrect ntime.
