Thanks for that Bush:) Just got some equipment wire up in “Components & Supplies”.
I got a bit confused on the shipping side of things.
So “Shipping Fee” refers to local shipping in the country the seller is based?
I have included UK shipping in the item price, so entered 0FTC in Shipping fee.I ticked international postage, but didnt get a box referring to that.
So I assume “Additional Shipping” can now refer to international postage,
where I entered 25FTC?Have I gone about this in the correct way to achieve what I want?
I am used to seeing shipping as something like “Local Domestic” & “International”.
Maybe this would be clearer to buyers and sellers. Anyone else out there have
any thoughts on this?Looking forward to pin to fiat, and auto-relist:P

Okay. So we have relist enabled on the site. This gives an auction a total of 16 weeks on the site without having to press any buttons :)

The shipping fee is always added to the final sale price and the additional shipping fee is the amount charged for shipping additional items. At the moment you need to specify additional costs under shipping terms and ask the buyer to pay the extra in accordingly.
This is going to be changed and more shipping options is a request in this thread. Sellers need the ability to be able to offer several shipping options which the buyer can choose from.

[/quote]I just looked at you auction. You want to put the UK shipping fee separate in shipping fee and reduce the price accordingly. Additional shipping gets added to every additional item over the first one. You can edit the auction to make these changes.

I have just created a flat shipping fee of 40FTC as to include both UK and Worldwide postage.
Which I have clearly described. Setting additional postage as free, to encourage people to order more.
So I guess this will be fine for now.Going to get more items up tonight.

Thanks for the relisting options; half my stuff I listed last week I was able to re-put up but the other few things I did before those apparently are gone forever?
No big, I’ll just refill out everything again since it’ll keep this time.

If an auction ends without successl, the information letter should mention, if the auction is automatically relisted.

I am in Amsterdam at the moment for the conference ChrisJ managed to arrange after the original conference canceled. This and the fact that the kids were off school last week means that I have had little time for development. I have managed to squeeze a little bit into the trip but will be back on these things when I return from the Dam.

There is a lot of work to be done on the market. I am going to get started on the pin to fiat feature first which I am starting on now. This will happen in two stages which gives us some functionality after the first stage. To start with I will add the fiat value of the items in the display of items and give the user the option of fiat in their control panel.

The first stage is mostly complete.
Default fiat chosen on registration
Default fiat changed on user personal profile
Fiat value shown on hot itemsNext up is to show the fiat value on category view, and to current bid, buy now, shipping and additional shipping in the auction it self. The stage after that is adding the pin to fiat.

Would it be possible to alter things a little so only the first par of a U postcode is displayed as a location, rather than the whole thing?

Post code can differ around the world and the market does not handle post codes in different regions. The way to do this would be to amend your postcode in your profile to only include the first part. These details are not used in the payment part of the auction as the buyer has to specify delivery instructions at the point of purchase.

Sorry for being slow on the pinning to fiat, I’ve had a bug our youngest has brought home from school.I have all the fiat values of the auctions being held and updated in the database. The system will update values in the database rather than have the API queried for the fiat value every time pages are loaded. The data just needs to be displayed on the pages now to complete the first stage. With normal auctions, normal auctions with Buy Now and Buy Now all have the option to pin to fiat then bids should be in fiat too.
