I’ll be honest, I’m more of a rock guy myself, but I actually sat and listened to the whole track…and enjoyed it. You should consider collaborating with an indie game developer (Kevlar? :D) and writing the score for a game. I would play that game. I messaged you and added you on reverbnation as well. +1 repP.S. Also, Kevlar’s remix idea…that needs to be a thing
Oh no. No no. I hung up those shoes when I sold my game studio. If I never have to write another physics engine, it’ll be too soon. They always stuck me with that, because no one else knew how to do it. “We’re just not math people” they said. “It’ll be easy for you because you’ve done it so many times before on so many different platforms! What’s one more?” they said. Well Pythagoras can go get bent, because I’m not integrating another square-of-the-mass-times-negative-cube-of-the-distance (that’s gravity, for those who don’t recognize the formula) vector over delta-t unless I’m getting paid for it.
And you can’t afford my hourly rate.
If you agree to keep your hourly rate what is is currently, I will fund this project in three years time ;DNot to hijack the thread or anything, but I’d really like to get into game development (as a hobby, definitely not professionally). Have any suggestions as far as where to get started? I have a very limited background in html/css/javascript/small amount of java. I’m currently trying to teach myself C++ (nightmare for a noob like me) and Python.
Unity. http://unity3d.com/pages/create-games?gclid=CJn7iYfpursCFUWCfgod4SEAzg
It’s brilliant. They made Code Hero with it (which is also a great way to learn coding and game development). In fact, start with Code Hero. Then move on to Unity.
There’s some great tutorials on that site, and plenty of videos for how to get started in Unity.
Hey MTRisner!
Thanks man! :) If you ever make a game, I’ll gladly help you with the tunes… And Kevlar’s Blackchain innovation for media is my sweet spot!
I don’t even know what this style of music is called, but I’m digging it! This is my favorite track so far. This track releases the same chemicals in my brain that playing Mega Man 2 on NES did back in the day. If you knew me at all, you’d realize that that is high praise. +1 rep

Count me in. I know an Aussie DJ as well…(this is Calem’s cue to check out this thread) -
Hey, don’t leave me out. I used to be a professional DJ in the clubs before I gave it up to do music production.
You can check out a few of my mixes here: http://www.mixify.com/travis-savo/
Yes! This is shaping up to be a pretty cool event! I didn’t even know that you had a background in music production. What haven’t you done?
If you guys ever want to collaborate on a track, I’m in. I’m sure we could come up with something to use in FTC promotional videos and such. Maybe offer it for download somewhere on the site?
-
Hey this is so cool. I can’t listen to it right now as it’s too noisey in the office but look forward to this. Thanks so much man.

Blackout On ST. Marks" original version" http://www.reverbnation.com/c./poni/250640848
I was channeling the Gap band here! The track you like is a dance remix of one of my original song of Blackout on St.Marks… I alway do like 5 version i.e. Radio edit, an extended Dub version (this term use to mean a dance edit to producers) and a few others…
Enjoy your weekend.
Best,

On the topic of feathercoin songs, over in the general discussion we’ve got a talk going on. Would love to see lots of multimedia supporting FTC.
My resume is a tiny bit longer than that. I used to DJ in clubs around the US, my photography has been in magazines, I’ve worked on music videos that have won British VMA’s, I owned a video game studio, I’m directly responsible for modern P2P networks, my name is on patents for a file system capable of storing all the data that will ever be created forever, and on professional music making techniques in software, and I’m a leading researcher in the field of artificial life. My book will be published in 2015. It’s called Darwin’s Cookbook: Digital Recipes for Life.
I won’t mention what I do for fun.
But it’s not about what you’ve done, it’s about where you’re going.
And if Cryptsy would send me my FTC, I’d be going to fix the bug Tuck found in Link!
