Yes, its a classic pump/dump going on. You should have seen sell orders in chunk of almost 210k which is designed to scare people and force them to sell.

Anyways, good for me. I was pleasantly surprised when my buy order at 0.0007 got triggered. I actually bought at bit more at 0.0008 purely to sell when the price goes up. The crash has increased my FTCs by almost 70 :)

Changing the hearts and minds of day traders is something I’m not interested in doing personally. We need to really focus moving past this community and break into new markets. When we get the volume where it needs to be, it’ll be much harder to manipulate the price.

I didn’t know day traders had hearts? It’s all about the percentage. Yes it’s harsh but true… Services are easier to purchase with an unknown thing then a physical object. I’d suggest there first.

The more places which are offering ftc for real life / digital products which have demand will get more users to adopt it as a currency. If we can get some solid websites taking it as payment others will follow, would be a good idea in the future when we have this to have a link page or shopping tab on the main page, so perspective users can see straight away places where their coins can be spent.

Im wanting to setup something as i have quite a few products at my disposal but need a plugin or way to accept ftc. If we have a plugin or easy way to implement this more stores will accept faster spreading the word. Or is there already a plugin or method i have missed ?

I think people are missing something here…BTC has gone up in value, FTC/USD value has not really moved, in fact it has increased since the last time we visited 0.00099. People seem to panic sell too, they buy at 0.00160 and sell @ 0.00010? WHY? :o
Most people buying and selling on BTC-e are kiddos with no knowledge in economics and trading. They’re spoiled with make money fast stories and they’re easy to be manipulated. Someone pumped FTC to 0.00180 and dumped it to the bottom which would be about 0.00100, but it is lower actually due to a recent BTC/USD rise. A smart move would be to sell at 0.00180 and to buy now unless you’re a long term investor.

Good news :D would be great if we could get a dev or plugin maker to create an easy install plugin for one or two of the bigger open source carts. Sounds like we got things on the way so fingers crossed. In the mean time i will create something simple with a manual ordering process.

Value is going down! Fast! What’s the plan here?
Value? Huh? Only the price has gone down. Does FTC even HAVE a value yet?

The truth is though there are 2 million Feathercoins on sale on BTC-e right now, that’s a lot of coins a lot of which would have been mined not bought above 100. And nobody can predict the future, for all we know the price could drop to 0.0005 and then 0.00045 will seem cheap. Nobody knows where the bottom really is and there are a lack of good tools monitor BTC-e technicals. This is a good resource: https://btc.penek.org

Scarcity is a great way to create value and right now there are too many coins so all that will keep the price up is investor confidence and that means we have to have absolute clarity and belief in our messaging.

We’re working to send a very clear message in the upcoming days on what Feathercoin is all about to those that might not be hardcore forum people. 30 hours a week of my time is now shifting to Feathercoin. It is what needs to be done, I’m willing to put in the time.

Just a thought but are individual feathercoins traceable? Are they unique in anyway. If person A sends a coin to person B and then to person C and that individual coin be identified?

2 mil coins at btc-e… that explains the drop… 1/3 of all ftc on sale in one place at the same time. being that as of this moment 6,616,000 coins should be in circulation.

Right now you either keep your coins in wallet or put them on Btc-e. There are no other options really.

I prefer the price to remain stable, even if it is low. Besides its a good buying opportunity. Trying to raise more BTC by selling Goldcoins (though I have literally sold thousands without hardly any increase in balance).
