Website Overhaul
-
Yes Shadowhh32, a lot of work is being done in the background, so I haven’t updated this thread. It’s here as a reminder …
From what I’ve seen of that work, I’m sure we’ll keep your comments in mind, when we start learning / setting up the new forum …
You may have missed my spam effort? I have learnt a lot from that and have a ban list, for instance, that would stop 90%.
So I would be interested to hear your thoughts on the advantages or disadvantages of the anti spam plug ins and will they work on the new forum? etc

Id be willing to help. Problem is one of the admins says he’s got a fix in the works but I still dont see changes months later.
When you say, ‘one of the admins’, you mean me right? I presume you are refering to the icons being broken due to the SSL cert? That’s not an issue I’ve looked at. The old site is due to be replaced.
The admin says that there is underlying issues with the way the site is setup. I dont believe it. WP is WP no matter where its hosted and its obvious that we are in need of an update. There is a lighter version of the website in the works. Someone has it. It takes two seconds to update WP. Why are WE out of date? We arent running the correct site speed tweaks either.I have a few on my website that I use but I dont remember them offhand. It takes about five minutes to change color schemes/themes. You can mirror the site either on a subdomain or in another folder while testing the website. All one needs is FTP and site admin access. I dont know why people seem to think it takes a genious to make these changes.
I’m not sure I like your tone tbh. It takes a lot to wind me up, but you are getting there. The admin? You don’t believe me?
For one, you haven’t even asked if the updates were applied and the underlying issue fixed. But thanks for asking, yes, the underlying issue was fixed (thanks Wolfgang) over a month ago and then updated to latest version of wordpress 4.2.2. So, ‘WE’, in caps, are not out of date, YOU are just presuming. Also, for clarity, I’m not the ‘admin’, it’s not my site, I’ve just been kind enough to take a look because it was badly neglected and a secuirty risk. Thanks MrWyrm for doing that. No problem mate.
There is a new site under development on Muddy’s new new server as part of the feathercoin reloaded project. If you say pretty please and be nice, I might show you a screenshot FFS. ???

Feathercoin bypasses the old banking system by using peer-to-peer technology. Payments are borderless and can be processed by anyone with affordable computer hardware using free software. This work is rewarded with new feathercoins which are issued by the network.
Any suggestions for a better description of what Feathercoin is?

Seems pretty accurate, we did spend some time on that last update. Any particular problems with it?

It’s just a bit cold. Not very punchy or exciting.
