BTC e??? All my Feather coins were at BTC e exchange and as you prob know BTC e no longer supports FTC?? BTC e won't tell me where my FTC coins are? Any help or direction is greatly appreciated, Thanks

@acidd It cannot be said enough. I think 1 hour is still not enough. The amount of posts I read on Reddit on how many people leave their coins on exchanges such as BTC-E and Coinbase is terrifying. Have people not learned anything from MTGOX?

ha you dont have to tell me. We have had plenty of new users ask this same question.
anyone who comes here, I try to advise them that crypto isnt play around money or a get rich quick scheme… unfortunately users are users…they are human and suffer from the same flaws we all do…laziness being the main one.
very recently - we had one user who…after much digging, I found out had no idea what private keys were or how the blockchain works…
That user lost 119K FTC due to nothing but ignorance and ignorance alone.
That lack of knowledge has cost the user 14K USD (at time of writing)
if feathercoin reaches it’s ATH again, that user has lost a considerable amount of cash.

Oh My God… I cannot believe it…

Ouch, that’s not just petty cash! People should treat their crypto wallet like their physical wallet… Even more so dealing with that sort of crypto

mail from wex
Hello!
We informed in the news that we don’t possess historical data on transaction and orders of the old platform, that’s why we cannot approve or deny your words about funds deposit. The funds were credited to the new platform WEX.nz in the amount shown in your profile. During the period after BTCE closing and before WEX opening, all transactions were fulfilled out of control of the old platform as well out of control of the new one. -
Just found out i have the same issue. Any updates on your side?
-
I have a printscreen from 5 years ago showing my wallet information, send it to the customer support from WEX, lets see what happens. I am guessing its not going to be good news :( Oh and 5 years ago, nobody assumed that a exchange wasnt a good place to keep your coins.
-
I know this doesn’t help you in any way, but I do feel sorry for you guys. All the best trying to recover the coins, i there’s still a chance at all.
-
May be they at least can retrieve the wallet address and private key associated to your BTCE account and provide that. Then you can import the private key and get your coins

Ahem! Not entirely accurate, if you got into bitcoin and crypto currencies and you understand private and public keys you wouldn’t have stored your coins at an exchange…regardless of time period.
I learnt the hard way with MT.Gox and I didn’t even store coins there, I used to trade…lost them anyways.
The only people who store their coins on and exchange are either the non technical users or the lazy ones…I chat with some users on the forums who have large stacks of many different coins stored on exchanges…when I suggest for them to move their holdings unless they are trading every day they usually respond with something like “yeah I probably should, just cant be bothered right now”
