Nsgminer 0.9.2 Vs 0.9.4
-
I don’t think 0.9.4 is @ghostlander work. As he has only recently released 0.9.3. As I looked to see if there is another version myself and then got a response from him saying that 0.9.3 was just released.
I would check who develop that miner. AS it never work for me on my AMD cards making there hash rate from 520KH/s to 250KH/s. I did look at the program a bit but I’m still learning how to create a mining program.
-
It’s listed on his github as a precompiled release, which is why I ask. But if that is the case then I shall download 0.9.3 and see what results I get from it.
I just can’t wait until I can afford a decent GPU to mine with as my 9800 GT is pretty diabolical :D -
Heres the Github link to NSGminer releases.

Whoops, forgot to add that to my previous post :3

You should check the main NSGMiner post on Bitcointalk…when software gets updated things change…you cannot blindly assume your bat file will just work with the newer software/ Miner version.

In the above link, you can see Ghostlander has left examples of how the new version works.
Your Version (The OLD Version)
nsgminer.exe --neoscrypt
The new version - you need to specify kernal with
nsgminer -k neoscrypt
make sense ?

Thank you for the info, i do try to find information on these things but often find myself getting a bit lost :3

Don’t be fooled, mining is still being involved with bleeding edge stuff, and things have got easier …
-
@wrapper if things are easier than they used to be then i’m glad ive only recently joined in ;) its been uphill struggle from the start, then again having shoddy old hardware doesn’t particularly help things :D
-
Not exactly clear about the situation here but can you explain what is the problem or issue with the latest version here? What harm it could do?
-
my issue is that the latest version seems to run slower than the older version. but this is more likely an issue my end than a problem with the software.
