Ok, if anyone is still interested in this, I’ve set up a test node for PXC P2Pool mining. It is currently the only node on the PXC P2Pool network, and I can see a few issues with the stats on the webpage, but it appears to be working with my puny 250Khash pointed at it.

If anyone fancies helping me test it, I need to generate a few blocks to check payouts, so feel free to point some hashes at [url=http://95.85.32.214:19437]http://95.85.32.214:19437[/url]

I will remove the 1% fee later this evening, and I cannot guarantee that everything will work exactly as it should, but you’d be helping to test the possible seed node of the PXC P2Pool!

I read your responses yesterday and took some time to think about them.
I came to the conclusion that you are correct. Looking at the way it is right now it does look like a scam (which it isn’t).

So here are the facts:
The cryptconnect project is at this moment an idea. Communication and trust are big issues in sensitive data transmission.
We where thinking outside of the box and thought: “this is a good idea”
One problem however: to get this widespread, it needs to be free to use.
Then the next problem: “ok, you can develop it, but it needs to be audited (make sure it is 100%safe) and then you need to send representatives to hospitals etc…” aka you need money
We thought the solution might be in crowdfunding. But seeing the responses, it seems there is no trust from people towards us.

And for that, they are totally right! Why would they?

So, we decided to takes thing slowly, get credibility. We went in this project head first.
I canceled the campaign and are looking for a way to get things rolling in our spare time.

Also, there seems to be misunderstanding: we are not planning to put peoples EHR (e-health-records) in the cloud. We are trying to create a tool to send messages (with medical data in them).
Any input, be it possitive or negative is welcome.

Unfortunately, bands normally have very little say when the first single is being chosen. I do think “So Far” is definitely radio friendly though. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was single #2. +1 rep for reintroducing me to a band that I had all but forgotten about ;D

BTW. My band’s album just hit itunes (I found out today, actually). Search ‘nevercast’ if you’re interested. We have a track on Soundcloud ([url=http://www.soundcloud.com/nevercast]www.soundcloud.com/nevercast[/url]) but, fair warning, it’s not anything like Five Iron Frenzy.

Its a real shame, as there should be other coins. These guys thought they could do it all themselves, it takes something more than that to get crypto adopted.

There’s some good ideas in namecoin, I wasn’t inspired to try it and hasn’t been attacked by ASICs, like all the SHA256 coins?.

Maybe Kevlars project, including data in the blockchain, covers Namecoins use case generically anyway? Any coin can store an IP address layer.

Its so early on crypto history, “coin resurrection” has only just started, who knows what will happen with that…?
