"To me it looks like we should not just wait on this like Freicoin did.

The best option is to go for a four times faster difficulty adjust but with a much less variable adjust. This means when the difficulty comes down it will only do so by 40% which will not bring all the miners running but will be enough to entice some back. This will stop us from turning into bubble coin.

I have made some basic changes and am getting some peer review. I will come back here to let you all know the details when I have them." - Bushstar

Indeed it’s good news. Question is, WHEN will the difficulty drop? If it’s still 20+ days, I think we’re dead in the water. Is there a plan to reset the difficulty in the immediate future?

I’m not entirely convinced we would survive 4-5 days hence the question. The longer we wait the more the hash rate is dropping. :'(

It will take time. You need to give people at least 2-3 days before implementing any change.

Just got a message on BTC-e from a user asking for pools and all. Things will pick up - hold tight.

LTC diff is now 596.88 after pool fees that’s approx 1.6 coins a day per 1mH/s - And don’t forget the current LTC price is based on Gox adoption - But when?

Agreed - and the pool hash rates are dropping again.

At present it’s costing me just shy of £20 per day to run these rigs. We need some action quick smart. :'(

                        +1 on this decision

But I am with NutNut, I can’t burn 5000 watts at the wall for 20 more days ;)

I think once news gets out that there’s been a change in the re-target algo some people who jumped off will jump back in to help as well as other people who were fond of FTC but would still rather mine profitable coins.
