I just saw that the stats page said we had 20,614,515 KH/s… we better be ready for an attack after the retarget when the miners leave at high diff.

the stat page just make a very simple approximation using a formula that should look like (current block time - 60 blocks ago time)/60 * K so if time of the current block or the 60 ago time is weird (like the 2h ahead attack) you get some strange number.
K is essentially the diff * a constant for hashrate to get at diff 1.
this is not exactly the code but the general idea. it’s similar for the retarget it use for time between block: (current block time - last retarget time)/ (current #-last retarget #) so this time between block/2.5 * current diff with limits is the retarget ratio
that is why time manipulation makes weird displays and affect retarget difficulty.
so when this happen someone is injecting blocks with manipulated time

LOL what is it supposed to be the number of block found on the day. if so please verify as 50362 is >90% of total block as we are at 55813. and we surely have not been at block 5500. so what should represent this graph?
