I can access most sites, but there are certain sites, like 4chan and porn, that are blocked. Apparently the VPN sites are as well.

Which is bull. I’m not a student here, I’m an RA only. Why should I have to suffer and deal with the same stuff? All I have to do is keep up with the students, why can’t I enjoy my free time?

I can’t afford to pay for a VPN. What do you mean a non stratum server, because I thought in order to mine feather or litecoin, you had to have stratum enabled?
[/quote] I am mining Feathercoin on fcpool.com port:443 thru GetWork and running smooth. My cgminer kept giving me issues with the Stratum Protocol a few times but have yet to have trouble with GetWork in over 5 days.

If you dont mind my asking, what country are you going to school in? I’m US based and I’ve never heard of a university that blocked 4chan let alone vpn servers. Your school must have a very draconian IT policy.

Lots of private universities have incredibly restrictive Internet policies.

Use a pool that supports web ports 80/8080. Then you should. Be golden.

turns out multipool has a 80 option lol. Pulling 1315 together from my two 7950s. Thanks!

This is your best choice, I had to do this with a few of my smaller rigs sitting behind different restrictive networks.

Geez, where are you going to school, Bob Jones U?

                        Try VPN Book:

                        http://www.vpnbook.com/

Maybe they can run it through Tor before the college realizes Tor traffic is going through the network? Maybe some sort of bridge is in order? Maybe he can set up a 24/7 VPN at his house to funnel the data to?
