Tuck, do you have just a regular “interest on deposits” or you got mcxFEE Shares also?
I’ve watched several discussions in chat on which earns more and currently (reportedly) holding BTC gains 4x more than freeshares.
It’s hard to quantify that properly, because mcxFEE shares are now holding at just under 1.0 BTC (up from 0.1 IPO, and 0.27 where I bought my 1 at), and the amount of interest varies with deposits on the site… AND the payout of both fluctuate with activity.
Here’s the most recent payout:
Feeshare payment for having 1 mcxFEE = 0.00004722
Interest Payment on deposit of 1.66573824 BTC = 0.00030978But then the time before that it was:
Feeshare payment for having 1 mcxFEE = 0.00001178
Interest Payment on deposit of 1.66564783 BTC = 0.00007863In short, it’s a BIG guessing game… one that’s going to get a lot more interesting as time goes on.
Any calculation of price has to include growth of the site as well, which is pilling on users fast, and the scarcity of the mcxFEE. It’s entirely possible that a big fish will come and deposit a ton of BTC, soaking up the interest payments, making mcxFEE the only way to earn dividends. If that happened, mcxFEE would be undervalued at 1 BTC, but if the volume growth doesn’t outpace the deposit rate, mcxFEE is overvalued. Right now the site is estimating an APR on BTC of 18.7765334% which has stayed pretty steady, but I expect it to change as bigger players get word of the free money.
It’s definitely true that BTC interest is WAY more effective RIGHT NOW, at the current mcxFEE price, but it’s ALSO true that buying mcxFEE’s a week ago and selling them today would outpace any other investment on the site, so that has to be taken into account. Ask me again in 3-6 months if that’s still true, I suspect the answer will have changed.
It’s also entirely possible that RealSolid is taking everyone for a ride, waiting for the perfect opportunity to cash out and walk away rich and never have to work again. This is truly the wild wild west we’re living in. Enjoy it while it lasts, because the party CANNOT go on forever.
Since zerodrama (I assume) and you have both opened that can … can you both go into more detail about RS and what past actions have warranted you to have these doubts?
Realsolid getting his wallet stolen is about as probable as Michael Phelps drowning in a kiddie pool.
I’m starting to get the picture. So, the gripes are he created mincoin and solidcoin, premined the hell out of them, lost 250 BTC in donations and created an (awesome) exchange to sell off those coins (allegedly, but appears valid) and is turning solidcoin into microcash (allegedly) but it’s considered vaporware at this point and hence the concern with freeshares. Does that sum it up or did I miss something?
Edit : My take on it, from what I’ve read, is he’s apparently very bad with PR, has social issues at times that lead to more of problem #1, but can code his ass off (from even his detractors). This is all gambling and I’m willing to gamble a little BTC on mcxnow and his coding skills. He has a chance to make more money making it successful (which it appears to be well on it’s way) than by running off with depositors funds. Especially since from what I’ve seen he can be pretty easily found and he’s obviously bright enough not to need to do something that stupid … so it appears the likely profits are worth the minimal risk.
This is funny though …
Back in 2011, Realsolid promised to release Microcash. Then he went silent. Then those who believe in the project started asking on the microcash forum when it would be released. Realsolid said he was not doing well financially and stated that if 250 BTC be given to him he could finish the project and have it released. Those who believed rallied and came up with at least 250btc and sent it to Realsolid. RS put up a nice shiny front page with a rocket and $ sign for Microcash. RS made promises that it would be released weeks after getting the 250 BTC.
It took him over a year, but eventually he did what he said he would do… but as you know the community has very little patience for people who take their money and then don’t deliver, leading to him being thoroughly labeled as a scammer and a fraud.
The fact of the matter is he’s a very smart dude, a gifted developer, and he’s presently getting stupid rich off his site. I say more power to him too… but with the understanding it’s a cowboy exchange run by a cowboy coder who could pull a Tom from MySpace at any moment and we’d have basically zero recourse, because NOBODY SEEMS TO KNOW WHO HE ACTUALLY IS.
That’s why, I’ll say again, this IS the wild wild west, and you should enjoy it while it lasts, because when the party is over, it’s going to be over and those who cashed out at the right time will be rich, and those who didn’t will be sorry.

Yeah that’s what I’ve gathered from my reading and I’ve come to the same conclusion. I’m in.
I’m curious if Smoothie is on board or not though and I’m hoping he will chime in since he has history with rs/ch.

Very Interesting I have been following RealSolid for quite awhile and I believe he is Very Smart at the same time I think he has
issues working together with people that want to help speed up his development.Anyways I still believe his Project with MCXFees will turn out to be better than worse in the end.
who knows tho with all the money he is making right now he might just get up and leave one
day and never return.I sure hope he makes MCXNow a Transparent Exchange.
The BanFee is a Great Idea to keep those Trolls in LINE!

riding the mincoin train here all day. it just keeps taking off. I hope I can continue getting out in time. lel
0 BTC Deposited. I sold other coins.

solid coin just got pumped really hard. that was well worth being there for.
-
I cannot stress how much I like this place. If you’re into the pump/dump game … you’ll love this place. I’ve made more here in 2 nights than on BTC-e for weeks at a time (+ interest). I’ve been in and out of solidcoin more than Robin Thicke on Miley Cyrus at an awards show. It’s been a blast!
Oh for sure. Cowboy exchanges are WAY more fun than mainstream ones. It’s all about volatility, and MCXNow has it due to the recent changes.
Now if I could just convince RS to expose is API as JSON instead of XML I’d be a very happy trader. Yeah, I know, you can XSLT it into Json, but talk about an ugly solution to accomplish such a trivial thing, you’re better off just writing a SAX parser at that point.

RealSolid has delivered to his original investors, his audience, and always active to keep everyone informed.
Pretty much a PR site, but still some useful info.
-
I started talking FTC last night in chat on here and it was not met favorably. I was not thinking about it at the time, but most of these guys are probably SC/MNC holders and have been w/RS for a long time waiting for him to become … well, real solid.
Lessons learned … do not attempt to talk FTC or it’s Dev Team up in chat at mcxNOW. Do not attempt to pump FTC at mcxNOW (yet).
-
Yeah, I’m done with this place. I’m not funding some eugenics freak. RS, you should stay out of chat … it’s bad for business.
XML API, that’s a terrible idea! So much baggage, I hope they fix that.Otherwise it’s a great exchange, lots of features the other don’t have. eg. If I keep my FTC there, they earn interest every 6 hours! That’s awesome.
You earn a good interest if there is a good trading volume. No volume, no fees, no interest. Their FTC daily volume is less than 10% of BTC-e now. The interest rate is miserable.
-
It seems like days of glory are over, MCX is steadily going downhill on overall volume…
-
Wait, what? Where did you see this?
Edit: Ah, it’s not closing so much as suspending while he works on it. That’s cool.
-
You have to look into it a bit deeper, he is closing for 3 months, that’s created so much bad will that most users wont come back, making exchange locked coins like SC and mcxFEE worthless.
I smell a scam.
