Market WIP

All my work is currently focused on bringing the market back with built-in escrow. I am very pleased with how it is coming together but the more I work on it the more I see needs to be done. When it comes back it will be on a server dedicated to running it. The old market has been put under maintenance, please let me know if you need any data out of it.

No problem. I am getting there.

Today I will code the auction payment control on the wallet server which is not accessible from the market itself. The market has lists of public keys only.

After that I need to work on the internal messaging system, work on the outgoing emails which are somewhat broke in the vanilla system and make sure that adult material does not get displayed on the front page.

Then setup a new server for this system to go on and at that point we can release the market :)

Getting there. I’ve spent the day fixing the final bugs on my list. The WeBid software that this is based on requires a lot of work ironing out the kinks. I underestimated the amount of time that this would take. I’ve been working on this solid for more than a couple of weeks which is too much time. However I hope that this improved system encourages people to setup shop in Feathercoin. I keep saying that I want users of Feathercoin not investors.

Tomorrow I am going to wrote some help pages on the system to cover the escrow process though it should actually be self-explanatory this time.

fendlestick, adult items will not longer display on the front of the site but you still have an adult category :)

If ever there was a need for a case study on what happens to a company, organization or currency when a dedicated and talented team of people come together to make the world a better place through economic means - Feathercoin could be that case study!

Seriously, it hasn’t even been a year since Feathercoin started and look where it is already.
