Happy to be a judge or a mentor if you’ll have me! My only issue is that my workload is swings and roundabouts. Can do 3-5 hours per week, but mostly at the weekends.

      My CV:
      Day job

Technical Consultant for military fast jets, with major UK defence firm

Change leader within said firm for internal change processes

Running first internal Hackathon for generation of IP and technical problem solving
Professional Quals: 1st degree Bsc/Hons Design Engineering, PgC Management,
Coursea: completed Technology Entrepreneurship, Gamification, Strategic Growth for Private Businesses, Managing through Emotional Intelligence, and others

Why do I want to be a judge/mentor:
I believe I have the appropriate enthusiasm, and skill sets which make me a suitable candidate to advise potential projects on their road to success. As cliché as it is, I love a challenge, especially technical, and given that my ability to code is next to none, I would appreciate the opportunity to give back to the community in the only way I can; through sound, logical, and helpful advice!

I agree with T4 and Kevlar as being judges.

How many judges do we need?

I’m honored at the mention. I don’t have the skill set. The only thing I’m good at is making pretty forms and directing art. Can’t draw a fish either.

Would anyone object if we did it on one of my sites future.do? It’s a future facing CV, kind of a pet project that I have been doing for a couple of years now, where I help people find their purpose in life. Make them feel good about getting out of bed in the morning.

The more I think about it the more it fits with what we are doing. Also been looking at Kevlar’s suggestion on the WP plugin http://ignitiondeck.com/id/crowdfunding-consulting/ and it looks like the theme can be modified.

Would love a idea jam with some techs to see if this can work. I have ideas about helping people build Investor Profiles so that they can be rewarded for backing successful projects, that gives a non monetary incentive to persist and work at helping the aspirant. Anyway lots of ideas like this but need to discuss.

Nope, I think it’s a good domain, if for no other reason than it DOES NOT say “Feather-*”, “Bit-*”, “*-coin”, “Crypto-*”, or “*-currency”. This particular topic has been all over the blog-o-sphere this month, and the consensus is pretty unanimous: If Amazon.com had called themselves “OnlineBookstore.com”, they would not be where they are today.

The days of the SEO keyword brands will soon be over. SEO algorithms change more frequently and intensely than brands should. If you want to make your brand name sticky in people’s heads, it is important to remember to provide two things: conformity and disruption. If your name is too disruptive, and people have a hard time connecting it to your business sector or company, you are going to have a hard time. If your brand name is too conform (e.g. a generic term), and people therefore have a hard time connecting it to your brand values or your business, then you will have a hard time, too.

I think future.do fits the bill quite nicely because it offers a good mixture of both.
To build an external site to host a landing page template for the projects so that we can keep track of their progress. This will not be on the feathercoin.com domain.

Just reading about the jobs / kickstarter, it will be interesting to follow. Sounds well cool.

Happy to show off my real creative talents if you need a front end done with a little artistic license.

Yes, thanks for bringing this back in to focus. I have contacted 3 developers with Word Press experience and have renewed my hosting contract. However this is not high on my priorities due to conference, newsletter, Bittylicious, FTC Futures exchange, Merchant outreach, Marketplace and other duties. I will get around to it and keep chipping away and anyone else who wants to get involved and pick it up is very welcome to do so.

This is good example of epic waste of time and energy, we should avoid such projets in future and focus on important things.
