\[solved\] cgminer and guiminer problems \* report back if new problem

Hi everyone!
I am having some problem with both of the miners. In cgminer at some point I get some error (FAILED something, as soon as it shows up again I will post a screen) and the mining stops.
So I tried GUIminer and here after a while catalyst drivers crash. I get a message that they restarted, but the mining in the meantime stopped and I need to restart it manually.
Before the problem occur both of the miner works fine, I get around 550 kh/s with intensity 17.
Of course this cannot be, as these problems occur quite fast, so the mining won’t last more then half an hour.
my computer is:
i7 750, 4gb ram, asus p7h55, Gigabye 7950 3gb, catalyst 13.9, win 7 ultimate.

You’ve got to watch out mining. The first thing would be to check the temperatures and fan speed in cgminer.
I would turn the Intensity down, then reduce your engine speed while watching your accept level. press G, press C, press A and then F to make the fan automatic and then set lower trigger levels. I found it works better at lower Engine speeds, its a complicated optimisation process.
I also blew up a power supply, twice. Although the GPU could take it the power supply couldn’t.
Sometimes the GPU can’t take the constant operation. Check how much power you are drawing, a bought a plug that measures the KW/hrs being used.

The temps are ok, never go over 75 degrees. I tried to lower the intensity, but the problem still occur. The wattage should not be a problem as I have an OCZ bronze plus 650w. I think is more then enough.
However I will do as you say and see what happens. :)

when I set the fan to auto it just went to minimum, so not good. However the fan is working fine at default, as I said temp is never over 75.
I tried to lower a bit the engine and memory clocks, and see what happens.

The auto fan failing is a sign the target temps are not set correctly. Personally, for mining constantly, I don’t let mine get over 73 Deg.
P.S. The 2 power supplies I blew up were 750 watts.

target temp is set to 75. About the power supply, what brand were they? PSU quality is more important then wattage.
However it crashed again… I tried to lower the intensity at 15 and decrease the clocks more. Let’s see what happen. I will also set the target temp to 70 maybe…
