\[suggestion\] Modify thread titles when problem solved or question answered
-
There are lots of questions, problems, announcements and more.
I noticed that many of the pool related announcements are tagged with ‘[ann]’ in the title line.
My sugestion is to use the same principle for problems.
Let’s agree on the process, that the owner of a thread modifies the title line with an [solved] when the question is answered of the problem is solved.
This could help, if people search for solutions as they can directly search for solved problems as well as for people trying to help, so that they don’t need to open a thread to check if a problem is solved.
It could also a trigger for the moderators to close a thread
Any opinions on that?

Sounds like a good common sense idea to me.

yes great Idea

Great idea, can’t give more kudos!
I’ll try to implement that so others follow suit. Is there a set of ‘standard’ terms already used in other forums?

In the Ubuntu forums, the convention is to add [SOLVED] to the thread title.

great idea I have started changing my past threads :)
