Hi, ASIC USBblock erupter is good?
-
Hi,
I’m new on this forum. I want to know if a Block erupter like this one is good for mining Feather coin:
http://www.amazon.fr/BITCOIN-MINER-ASIC-BLOCK-ERUPTER/dp/B00D2XUU8Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1386782356&sr=8-1&keywords=asic+miner
This one is a little bit expensive, i read on another forum there is same block erupter for lower price, is it right?I’m mining with Cgminer with my 6950 2 Go.
This is not very quick :D only 320kh/sThanks you

Currently, ASIC boards are only compatible with SHA-256 hashes, whereas Feathercoin uses Scrypt. So, no.

Thanks,
Is there something like the block erupter? -
No, there are no working block erupter available for scrypt based coins.
regarding your 6950, you should follow the readme.scrypt document on cgminer/bfgminer on Github to the letter.
My 6950 is running at stable 450 Khash/s and consumes ~ 210W.
I started like you with around 300 KHash/s, then followed the steps described in the readme and undervolted the card to 1.05V to save some power.

Thanks you !

Hi Speeder, welcome to Feathercoin.
