Hi all, new to feathercoin and followed GPU guide to a T. Running an nvida gtx 560m and setup the batch file with correct version of cgminer (7.0) and when I executed got this error “Pool 0 slow/down or URL credentials invalid”

don’t think I missed a step and most likely an elementary question but help would be greatly appreciated!
      Thanks!

You shouldn’t mine with a nVidia card, but if you want to you should use cudaminer (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=167229.0)

Can’t help any further with the issue though sorry, not familiar with nvidia.

Thanks aatje92. Got it going and set with cuda using GUIMiner. Curious why you said I shouldn’t mine with Nvidia? Running a G74sx, Asus, Nvida GTX 560M, with 16 gigs of ram. Though entry level in terms of mining thought it would get me familiar with language and process before upgrading. Will this cause major harm to ny nvidia chip and the reason for your caution?

nVidia cards are just not profitable,

              take a look here:

I see what your saying now. Well I’ve successfully navigated and learned both bitcoin and feathercoin over the last 48 hrs. Def prefer feather but will surely need to upgrade to a better (more profitable) system or contract minors to make it worth it in the end. Thanks for the insight up to this point and happy mining.
