Pretty sure you have given one!

Do you remember entering a password when encrypting your wallet?

            Hi stevetrac,

What happened about this, was it empty so you just downloaded a new wallet?

There is no known bug where the Bitcoin protocol wallet generates its own encryption.

Either you or someone must have typed a password. Did you press one space?

Do you want to try starting the wallet with -reindex -rescan switches?

If that doesn’t work, you need to delete the block chain database and re download it.

If that doesn’t fix it I would try a scandisk? if windows incase the dat file has a temporary corruption.

If that doesn’t fix it the wallet has been encrypted and you don’t have the password.

And there is no known procedures to recover or hack the password, besides a brute force crack, trying all possible combinations of characters…

                    Exactly.

The only other possibility, but not likely is that the wallet database got corrupted and you could try…

                    feathercoin-qt.exe -salvagewallet
