Silver is one of the best investments out there at the moment, the above article, which I agree with users silver link to oil price, but there are others like the link to gold IE: 16 to 1 normally, at today’s price, Gold: $1213 t oz. Silver: $20. So silver should be $75.8 per t oz. That’s without taking into account the “allegedly†market manipulation of the silver price.
In the 2008 debt crisis J B Morgan & Chase, took over Bear Stearns who had massive short positions on silver futures contracts (A bet the price will fall), it is rumoured that they had no choice but to manipulate the market lower. In 2010 the New York Post reported about the “possible†silver market manipulation. It has since been “alleged†that JPMorgan acts as an agent for the Fed to halt the rise of Gold and Silver to protect the Dollar, but when the SHTF all bets are off and Silver price will rocket. $200 a t oz, are seen by some as quiet conservative.
Silver is one of the best conductors and as we all know is widely used in electrical and electronics devises. Silver is also widely used in the medical industry from surgical screws and plates to dentistry. Hell I was once treated for severe burns and was treated with a burns cream that was specially designed for burns and hey presto, it had silver in it.
Silver is an excellent investment: Important to make sure that you have your silver in your OWN hands. I keep mine in a fire-proof save, securely bolted in a safe/hidden location. Canadian maples are a good price and are 999.9 Fineness. I also recommend Bars as they are weight for weight better priced.
PS: I haven’t even mentioned the demand in the Chinese and Indian markets. -
I am bullish on Silver. It means money in so many languages and it is currently trading below production cost because the price quoted is a futures price and not reflective of the physical supply and demand. It’s just a claim made on a piece of paper, you know that stuff with edges that takes ages to transport and can easily be falsified.

i had silver, i bought a few years ago at about 30 dollars and watched it go to 50, that was a fun time. I then sold half at about 44 and went on a trip to vegas :-)
I then decided to buy more and got in about 36 and have since watched it drop and drop and drop.
I’m so sick of the manipulation in the markets and waiting for the physical price to detach from the paper price. It was from my silver investment that I learnt how corrupt governments and banks are!
So…I decided to invest in FTC instead :-) now I’m an investor AND a miner and loving it.
But silver will always have a place in my heart and I do hope to get back to her !!! -
