Any goods for Feathercoins
-
Hi Guys,
I know a lot of the community is located in the UK and Europe. I am located in the United States, so this makes selling goods moderately impractical. However I see a possible niche. I have been to the UK on several occasions and when I visit I am shocked at how expensive everything is. I couldn’t find a single thing that was less expensive than buying in the US. Even products at ASDA were more expensive then their Walmart equivalents. Usually an items costs the same number of units in GBP as it does in USD. On designer items the margin is much higher. I live in a relatively big city in the US (Boise, ID) and am near a mall and also have an Amazon Prime membership and can get items quickly. I also have a commercial shipping rate with the USPS. Would anyone be interested in a service where you can get American goods with a very small markup sent to the UK/Europe? The shipping cost is relatively high at $30.00-$59.99 for fast shipping 6-10 Business days, but with the right products it might make sense. Here is an example I found quickly of the increased margin in the UK versus the US.
A pair of Levi Strauss original 501 jeans costs $42.00 online from the US site. On the UK site it is £66.90. With two pairs the cost of shipping is completely negated and substantial savings are had. Since ASDA sells generic slacks for £9. I could send up to 4 pairs and still be under the customs gift limit of £36 if they are declared that way. This is one example of the possibilities. I can ship anything that fits into the dimensions of a priority mail international box and weighs up to 20 pounds. I will only charge the actual shipping charge and any insurance you want on the package. I can work with an escrow provider until my credibility is established here.
Is this a service the community would be interested in? I know there are people complaining of not having viable merchant options and I am trying to fill that void. For US buyers I can sell the same way, but with lower shipping charges. I will charge a 5% handling fee to cover my expenses on US and International orders. That is my only margin. I will shop for the best price for the goods and let you know based on the BTC-E or Cryptsy price (whichever is better for the buyer) how many Feathercoin the purchase will cost.
Liquids, explosives, and certain other goods are prohibited by USPS regulations. I am not responsible for goods that are not permitted in your countries postal system. I will do my best to look up the USPS guide for your country before shipping though.
Let me know if you are interested.

This USD/POUND/EURO is a pain in the * indeed. With selling these items, are you willing to get fully paid by Feathercoins? Couldn’t make sure by your post. Because if so, www.feathercoinmarket.com is the place to be!

Hi Pryderi,
I am definitely willing to be paid fully in Feathercoin. I am sitting on over 13,000 FTC at the moment so I have a substantial investment in the currency succeeding. I have posted in the marketplace before but had no interest. I am looking to find out what people want for their FTC so I can establish a base of goods to sell to the community.
Just letting you and everyone know (in particular the devs), I couldn’t see the original post until I hit the quote button…
Not sure what’s going on here, but it all looked blank until I hit “quote” to reply…

It’s to do with something that happened during the move of the forum, the symbols not being ported over properly. I noticed it on one of my posts before so went back and edited the original post replacing the substituted symbols and every was fine.
