Doesn’t look that way to me.
The Avalons were shipped world wide. Butterfly labs shipped worldwide.
The first scrypt ASICs appear to be coming out of China, and are undoubetedly going to be shipped world wide.

[/quote]There’s no incentive for companies to buy back old hardware. There’s very little resale market for them once they’re more than a year old and have been replaced by the next generation of chips.

The need to replace hardware will not be apparent so much after the initial development phase (of the alternate currency networks) is complete.

After finding out a bit of info. We’re better off sticking to our algo. It would be a headache and could introduce double spending…
I’m all in on these scrypt FPGA’s.
But I’ll always have my experimental rig… I’m somewhat of a tweaker :D
