Scrypt Cloud Has Been LAUNCHED!!!!

I’m just waiting for a bank transfer to show up on btc-e and will fulfill all refunds within the next week or so! It is a shame, we can’t return the cpu’s because the shop won’t take them back due to my own mistake. I mistakenly ordered fm2 cpu’s for an am3 montherboard, I have been trying to resolve the problem, looking around different computer parts shops for prices on all new cpu’s but I think it will take a long time to get all of them ordered in and would not be very cost effective either, I will keep ringing places to see if I can get them quick but at this stage it just looks like we will have to do refunds… And that’s not the only problem, the wifi internet we have setup in the storage units keeps turning off by itself sometimes for hours at a time. So there is a good few problems we are going to have to iron out before even getting a single rig up and running…I will update the blog as much as I can with progress!
Sorry everyone!
Wish you all the best and please don’t give up too fast. When building rigs there are a lot of challenges, but every small step brings you more experience and confidence.
What wifi did you set up … can you use another device? Maybe asking it in this forum - someone can offer some help? Regarding the CPU’s - I don’t know where you’re sitting - but here it’s a matter of days to get a new CPU… or I even can go to an shop and get one promptly. From cost perspective the CPU should not drive you to the limit?!
I keep fingers crossed
-
I wish you can solve that fast FTClover and that your project can still take flight in the near future!
-
FTClover I’ve dropped you a PM lets talk!
UM
-
Don’t throw in the towel M8, you’re probably just pissed with yourself right now but its just a bump on the road. As a fellow Irishman I really wanted to see you succeed with this :-(
-
This is very disappointing bud! I know you worked damn hard on this so it’ll be such a shame if it doesnt work out!
Keep your chin up!
-
Commercial storage sheds simply aren’t going to cut it, and after a month they may be “liek noep!” and toss you out because of heat/power/other risk factors.
Look up data centers in your area, look into colocation.

I appreciate what you’re saying. You’re correct, the website should be changed to reflect the most recent status, and this is all very confusing and doesn’t really make a lot of sense. At this moment, I’m less worried about the website, which says “sold out” everywhere, and more worried about getting people their refunds, and making sure people aren’t vilified for their mistakes.
For now I’ve called for a lack of pitchforks and torches, and I appreciate you giving him the benefit of the doubt. ChrisJ and I are monitoring this situation very closely, and I want you to know that we’re taking this very seriously. FTCLover has been a great communicator, and he’s continued to communicate his status here. I expect that everyone will be getting a refund shortly as FTClover has promised, and that we’ll all be grateful for his contribution by the time this is all done. We will continue to monitor this situation, and keep everyone informed of any new developments. I’ll continue to reach out to FTClover and see if we can’t work together to make this all a little more comfortable for everyone involved.
And in the future, you might consider using me for escrow when purchasing something which won’t be delivered until a later date: I would have been happy to keep all the funds in cold storage until such time as the contracts started, or are canceled.

what I don’t get is why you give up just because of picking the wrong CPU’s. It doesn’t make sense to me at all.
Cost wise it’s a very small part of the total sum in this project, getting another batch of CPUs might take a little time, but FTClover would still make a profit in the end, no doubt.
Time wise, sure it might take another 2-3 weeks to get everything mining but wth, that’s time that could have been spent doing more research to put into the rigs, and fixing more stuff around this whole venture.I’m guessing that one of these things happened (Please note, these are my personal speculations and should be treated as such!):
* FTClover in fact got rigs going but couldn’t get a satisfactory hash rate, thus using the CPU problem as a false scape goat
* FTClover in fact got rigs going and realized that he could mine doge coin at a mad profit and take all the hash rate for himself
* FTClover is a scammer (I sincerely hope this is not the case!) -
well this is truly a very bad news, hope things will resolve quickly and either people will get refund totally or the project will go on,
I have myself bought one contract… so lets hope for the bestthanks
This is unfair and unhelpful speculation.
@Kevlar and @ChrisJ are working with FTCLover on resolving the issues, FTCLover has not run away and is still communicating, so comments like these are uncalled for.
For everyone monitoring this thread, please desist from idle and damaging speculation. Mods will take a dim view of unfounded allegations against any member.
I was simply speaking my mind from conclusions that I’ve made about this whole project over time. However, I’ve edited my post to clarify that it’s based purely on my personal speculations and nothing else :)
I do hope that everything turns out well, I really do, but the skeptic in me can’t really look away from the weird circumstances around this whole venture.

I didn’t buy any contracts with FTClover so I feel less entitled to post.
However, having followed this thread for some time, I just wanted to say “don’t effin’ give up!”.
This is by no means a trivial project, which means you should expect setbacks before it comes good. Whenever you take on such a challenge you will meet trouble.
I would suggest speaking to the seller of the CPUs and explaining about the distance selling regs. I’m sure you have a right to return - somebody will no doubt set me straight here.
Also, I can’t remember how many rigs you have planned (8?), but I’d almost be willing to contribute something small to see this happen. Why would I say that? 1) I don’t like reading about failures (its depressing) 2) having this thing up and running is a credit to the community.
Also, AMD sempron chips are dirt cheap! You don’t need a snazzy CPU for mining.
So when they said it couldn’t work. Show them it can!
I send you 1 x Sempron, name that rig Scruffters after me… I don’t want anything in return. Arguably the contribution you are making to this community overall is more than worth than the equivalent cost of a takeaway and a couple of beers. haha ::)

Wheres the post saying whats wrong ?
Can’t find it here and the website is ‘down’. -
Has anyone managed to see the photos of 13 mobos or 39 GPUs which FTClover claimed to have ordered?
Not the photos of 1 mobos or 4 gpus previously posted in the website but at least a quantity of them.It will be good if FTClover can post photos of the quantity of equipment purchased as claimed to calm the situation down. If its really just wrong CPU issue, i believe many people are still willing to wait or help to solve the problem after seeing such photos.

I just wanted to post a record of my experience with scryptcloud.com to serve as an official record of my transaction and dealings with them…
I bought 24 mh of contracts for batch 2 (1 month contracts). I paid for this in two separate orders of 6 mh and 18mh. The total cost i paid was 3.6 btc as per the receipts below.
I paid for both orders on Sunday 19th January 2014. After the order i got an official receipt from them as well as from coin payments.
Since placing the order i sent a few emails to them with some questions and have not received a response to date.
I am disappointed that no one from the company has even bothered to inform their paying customers directly via email about the problems they are having and that, i have had to find all this out completely buy chance, seeing a message on their website pointing to this forum.
Surly as i only paid 2 days ago my btc should not have been spent on anything and if the company are genuine would refund me right away
My refund Address - 16548jTK7HWJ1sfD3Y4CmaSyWvymrnLR6r
I do indeed hope this is not a scam, but it doesn’t look good
hello you should re-post your post in the (script cloud technical problem link) so we have all the details in one place
-
Don’t scream scamer until this guy stops posting. This is a large scale IT venture being run out of a house filled with mining hardware and nothing else. I asked about technical details early on and shined some light on the issues. I fully expected this to miss the deadlines set purely because of the nature of the project. Let the man work and get things running and fixed as best as he can.
-
@FTCLover, I’ve pm’ed you with my mobile number. Give me a shout once you have all your hardware sorted out and I’ll pop up to you and help you build and get them all running, a few of us could get it going over a weekend I’m guessing. Having built my own rig and probably hitting every problem there is along the way I think myself and my mate can help, nothing asked in return, just want to help.
Looking at the local map there are only 3 of us mining in Ireland. Ryan is in Galway so it would be a bit of a track for him but I’m 20 min from you.
Let me know.FP

I’m happy to come over from Galway this weekend to give a hand, My parents live in Dublin so it would be a good excuse to go and see them. I can help build the rigs and I could also try and trouble shoot the network issue since I’ve just completed the CCNA last year I may be able to at least determine why it’s failing.
I also require nothing in return, if it helps you get your project off the ground and in turn helps the Feathercoin community then that’s payment enough.
