Scrypt Cloud Has Been LAUNCHED!!!!
-
I had the same idea few months ago and I publish this one http://forum.feathercoin.com/index.php/topic,4916.msg37311.html#msg37311 but my idea was to rent this service for ftc only.
The response was very weak ( only 2 persons had contacted me ) and after a while this service was announced and I put my project on hold…
If the community need service like this I can reactivate the project with GPUs and when time comes I can extend it with FPGAs ofc. if we made an efford to be delivered to us…
About user protection program I can say that subscriptions will be signed with legal company and payments will be with fiat currencies. -
i have now compiled a post with all the information i have - ready to post it when i get the go ahead from a hero member. Its pretty compelling
Hi, I sent you a PM about this. Any chance the staff could have a look at the information you have? You could PM it to any staff member.
Regards,
very sad to hear, still hope there’s a decent explanation. It is quite more challenging to build a large mining operation in comparison to just a rig or two, higher expenses and maintenance, heating and electrical issues, he did post a lot of info int he forum. Maybe he just got “scared” of taking the responsibility of fulfilling the contracts. I had a similar idea but taking the uptime responsibility is not to be taken lightly.
Also, whatever your intentions are - FYI I think it is illegal to publish private information online.
It would be better if it could be discussed by staff before being posted in an open thread, we don’t want to get the admins into any trouble over posting sensitive personal information online.
-
if its a problem publishing it in a open forum i will more then happily PM it directly to affected members of the community. Remember its also illegal to rip people off. I think everyone that has been ripped off are entitled to the information i have
I have Pm’d the information to staff, waiting for permission to post
-
So post the story without the personal information and just spread that to the people affected directly by the scam then?
-
tbh i understand the position of the forum, but i truly believe this information is in the interest of the community, i hope they allow me to publish it…
I can totally buy that they don’t want to hang someone out with name and address, that’s understandable. But if they forbid you to post the info you have on your hands in general, I’ll seriously consider ditching this place permanently since that would be a clear sign of the mods just wanting control and not what’s best for the community.
i.e. freedom when they see fit, and not freedom for everyone at all times (which kind of is a basic philosophy within crypto in general).
Mods, do the right thing here…
I don’t think wildly spreading his information is leading to the goal; fixing the problem. You can better make sure the info is being brought together to look at the opportunities of getting anything done.
It is not going to be a case of forbidding the spread of information, but a case of doing what is right for the Community, and we need to be careful to not post anything which could get Admins sued or the forum taken down through legal means, this would harm the community much more. That is why I asked mhamilton to let us discuss it first. Please bear with us.
Check! Sounds like you’re backing your choice with the right reasons then (got a bit worried, started to sound a bit sovietish around here) :) Shouldn’t be a problem to expose the background behind all of this without exposing the person in public. If it’s truly a scam we have on our hands here the only right thing to do with his personal information is sending it to the local police and taking it from there.
Here here! Thats the last thing we need! There was a post from a UK based solicitor not so long back, might be work giving him a tap up for a little free advice? I have run a forum in the past where a couple of guys decided to fall out and one of the decided to sue the other for slander and defamation of character! ended up costing me a few £ 100 in legal advice for them to get on with it!!
So be very careful guys, I know it looks like there has been wrong doing here, but the facts must be straight before there is any public slaying of the dragon or we will all be in for the high jump.
The last thing the community need is a pitchfork & torches situation where people walk through fire just to beat the living shit out of a supposed scammer. THAT will indeed just hurt the community in the long run. So yeah, get the police involved if you suspect a crime here :)

i intended to go down this route:
step one -
locate Shanestep two -
Attempt recovery of monies owedStep three -
report the scam to police if recovery unsuccessful. You have to remember though crypto coins in the eyes of the law are not money, its like reporting a stolen wow account to the police - not sure if they will even take it very seriously or do anything at all. the best route in my opinion is to privately recover the monies owed. -
…in a manner which does not break the law or imply breaking the law.
Of course - there are many ways to recover money from someone without breaking the law

Without any further evidence it’s kinda hard to really get a good judgement on the situation. For all I care Shane is having the shivers due to issues with the processors and the wifi. The lack of communication is bad though.
