Life's a struggle
-
I am struggling with my life right now. It got a lot worse after the Madbitcoins show with Andreas.
I have fought my whole life with the concept of time and its complexity. The way it humiliates us by always having more information than we do. And the battles with procrastination that it causes and the shame it turns in to at the societal level.
That little thought inside our minds: “I’m wasting my life, I’m wasting my life” and the feeling that time is running away from us and the need to fill it up and stretch it out with meaningless tasks because we know, we know that to fill it up by listening to our thoughts will be a failure. So we abandon desire and replace it with boredom.
Memory may be the eye of the imagination as the Ancient Greeks believed, it may well have the power to move up to the greatest heights and fall down to the lowest depths. But it’s our imagination that has the power to dislodge and move us. Hope that one day our past will be interpreted differently, with a forgiving eye. The hope that pierces through memory’s depth to create a pathway through space…

Have you ever heard of the cult of done?
Ah yes, I had forgotten about that thank-you. I am caught up more in the theory of time though.

Start delegating. There’s much too much to do, !!!

Did you tried to think about nothing for a while?
It is pretty hard.
Some call it meditation.
I am sure you will find great relief if you try this!I always recommend to focus on your breathing, than try to relax all your muscles (all, including your face, lot of people even dont recognize how much their muscles are in tension), and you are good to go for brain-reset by thinking about nothing.

Not sure if it’s of any help. But when I find myself pondering for too long on complex issues there’s a passage I read once that struck a chord with me. It happens to be a Zen Koan, but regardless of it’s origin, it’s one of those things I re-read when in a unhealthily pensive mood.
A farmer’s horse ran away. His neighbours gathered upon hearing the news and said sympathetically, â€Å"That’s such bad luck.â€Â
â€Å"Maybe,†the farmer replied.
The horse returned on his own the next morning, and brought seven wild horses with it. â€Å"Look how many more horses you have now,†the neighbours exclaimed. â€Å"How lucky!â€Â
â€Å"Maybe,†the farmer replied.
The next day, the farmer’s son attempted to ride one of the wild horses, was thrown, and broke his leg. â€Å"How awful,†the neighbours said. â€Å"It looks like your luck has turned for the worse again.â€Â
The farmer simply replied, â€Å"Maybe.â€Â
The following day, military officers came to town to conscript young men into the service. Seeing the son’s broken leg, they rejected him. The neighbours gathered round the farmer to tell him how fortunate he was.
â€Å"Maybe,†said the farmer.
-

The science or the philosophical side? :)
Both. I love wisdom. Science is just one way of getting there.

To quote a certain great philosopher:
“The ultimate value of life depends upon awareness and the power of contemplation rather than upon mere survival”
“Happiness depends upon ourselves”
So we are all capable of being happy but it is up to us :)
It seems that no matter what there is always an apt quote from Aristotle … Although reading your post again maybe you are not talking about happiness or lack of, rather about worry and self doubt.
If I had a stab at it I think that this one could be quite appropriate for you:
“No excellent soul is exempt from a mixture of madness”
OR
“There was never a genius without a tincture of madness”
;)
