Android Feathercoin QR scanner issues.
-
I’ve been having a play around with a project I’m working on which has required extensive testing of feathercoin QR codes in various colours. The barcode scanner app, even black on white, seems a bit clumsy, it takes ages to focus and doesn’t do a very good job, anyone else noticed this? The scanner that comes with the Bitcoin Android wallet is lighting quick however.
It doesn’t automatically detect inverted images either, like white QR on black, although there is an option to invert the camera image in the settings manually. It seems to struggle with most coloured QR codes as well.
Is this a problem unique to certain android phones, do others do a better job?

Can’t say I have had any problems with my Android scanning QR codes, unless it’s of a computer screen as the camera sees that as a rolling image, but from my MacAir screen it’s fine

Seems like it’s improved, at least on my phone, by using ‘no continuous focus’ option in the settings. It’s still struggling with colours, even where the contrast is still high between the colours, from what I’ve read from the QR specification it’s certainly not a limit.
