One thing I have noticed that feathercoin lacks is exposure. I would suggest the following:

      1. Properly SEO the Website (which it barely is)

      2. Have others go to other forums and write blog / forum posts about Feathercoin and draw traffic / interest back to the website - Helps with google rankings!

      3. Start writing BLOG posts touting the security and ability to thwart attackers

      4. Start posting charts about the longevity and Stability of price throughout these recent declines in bitcoin prices

      5. Start doing press-releases with major news organizations! When I go to google and type in “feathercoin” and search for news, right now ~15 articles show up tops!!! Contact WSJ, Huffington post, cnn etc. This is an EXCELLENT opportunity to get out there the security of feathercoin that bitcoin lacks!

      6. Consider Facebook targeted advertising to get the word out.

      7. Provide feedback on HOW people heard about feathercoin, exchange? Google Search? Friends?

      8. Provide examples on how EASY it is to invest/buy/sell/trade feathercoins and how FAST transactions.

      9. Update your wiki page with statistical information.

The more Stats and facts you can provide about it the more interested people will become in using it.

This is just a start, but just some examples on how to reach out to a targeted market, with out awareness you might as well be talking to a wall and expecting results.

Great Posts EnigmaMan, I pasted that in the Media Team Thread.

It would be great if you could spend a little time chatting to the guys over there.

I totally want to help increase the exposure. I think we need a pooled kitty of FTC overseen by the FTC staff, and get some organization together are really start a good push.

I think we could increase our visibility by attending Bitcoin or Crypto meet ups in our areas, they’re normally free to attend unless it’s conference or something.

Blogging is a good idea too, so if we have any bloggers out there?

There isn’t one in my area. Perhaps I should start one!

Oh yes, this year I started a group in Oxfordshire ‘Oxford Crypto Group’ I did have to pay about £30 to set up for 6 months on meetup.com and I have had a few people join, also it’s free to start a group on FB :)

Great thought. What action do we take as a community to ensure that happens?

You know what I saw in the last 48 hours? Dogecoin Tips being handed out in massive amounts to people on Reddit who have posted about losing coins on Gox. A very calculated and ingenious strategy.

Not saying we should do that - but it’s definitely another great example of why Dogecoin is moving so fast. There are some seriously smart kids/people pushing it. It’s got the added bonus of a low valuation, so vast amounts can be given at low loss.

That and the Jamaican bob-sled team sponsorship thing. It didn’t go as planned, but it still did so much.

Maybe we need to brainstorm some more low-cost initiatives. I know Chekaz is on point with donating to game channels. Uncle_muddy’s Prostate donation is pretty great too. I’m sure there’s even more great ideas waiting to be put into practice here.

I agree. Check out this move and exposure: http://www.cnn.com/2014/02/26/tech/innovation/dogecoin-cryptocurrency-tech-irpt/
