Redesigning the wallet contest!!

Hey guys
I have been thinking about this long and hard and I have received some feedback on this from some of the admins. I propose that we work on redesigning the wallet. I am talking about just the front end for now. Some of the ideas that have come to my head are:

Incorporate an RSS feed into the wallet

Redesign the wallet front end to better reflect FTC

Easier wallet navigation and helpful tips (one of those annoying things that popup every now and then).

A balance calculator that calculates current FTC balance against fiat and outputs the result (we can include compare to btc as well)
Not many ideas from my end, just something to get this thread started. If any of you have any other ideas regarding the wallet please do not hesitate to share. Sharing is caring.
If the community does decide on changing the wallet design, then another thread will be created where people can submit their wallet redesigns. I will be offering a bounty to the best design in that thread which will be selected by a poll at the end of the contest period. A wallet address managed by svnennad will be posted and members are encouraged to donate towards the bounty. This posts voting period will end on March 3rd March 10th. On March 11th a new thread will be created for the redesign contest with all the juicy details.

I think it might be a good idea to have an look at the WDC wallet. they have done a great job at redesigning.

I want my HD wallet! :-) Voting for new as I doubt that we can successfully merge new functionality into the QT codeline without huge merge difficulty each time it updates.
Separate into 3 pieces UI FTC-Unique Plugins/Functionality Core QT Block-Chain API/Functionality
Doing this lets us keep up to date as QT Block-Chain keeps rev-ing for security and other concerns while letting us make new Plugins or functionality that our community wants or needs.

A couple of functions i would really like to see added.
1. possibility to set up backup address (remote path/cloud etc) for wallet. with autosync on transfers. possible set number of revisions to back up wallet1.2.3.4 etc so you have the possibility to trace back in case of corruption.
2. possibility to have multiple wallets.
Like now when i hold an wallet for promotion, it would be great to not have to run multiple clients. To have two funds/wallets separated in same client
That way you also could have one “spend wallet” and one “saving wallet”. For example lower password protection on the spend wallet (4pin kindathing)

Agree! It would be great. You can automate the thing by scripting but it’s not user friendly.
My GF has the wallet but she doesn’t even know what that word means so, it would be great to be able to “link” the inexperienced user to “the file”. I know it just need some googling to get to it but it would be nice to have some “wallet management” system like multibit. Maybe it’s a lame idea though… -

Allow importing themes into the wallet
