Do not worry, it was probably more anxious than you ::)

All we can do is wait Until the new algorithm appears . Or you can buy some of the FTC, at $ 0.15. :D

I think its probably a combination of a lot of things, the problems with bitcoin and the whole MTgox issue has for sure effected FTC and other alt coins. Then you have the multi-pools driving up the difficulty. There seems to be a lot of things going on.

I don’t think people should worry though, crypto currencies as a whole are suffering a bit a the moment, it will pick up again, we just need to be patient.

Its the same for all other alt coin like Doge, NMC, PPC.

The Litecoin pump effect where everyone is trying to get into… we should see a brief rally for alt coin soon, aside from Lite.

Maybe you’re all right and we should be patient and wait for the new foreseen changes etc… however I start to hear FTC descriptions (personal communications) where the image that emerges is not that “epic”. I’m sure we should concentrate in more promotional activities (already in the plan stage in other threads).

I believe that a lot of problems arise from the fact that many miners just want “XX revenues” no matter which coin they mine. If that coin starts to decline they just move along to the next. Why is it so difficult to think in the long term scenario???

Well, I keep mining with my few MH to support this coin even if lately it is not that profitable… philosophy over profitability! :D

I think the reason is due to all the multi-pool mining. They do an auto convert to BTC immediately and no more need to pull money out, put it in your wallet then go to the exchange.

Because of this as FTC is mined, its sold driving the price down due to people looking for MAX profits right now.

To be honest, mining for crypto is really becoming cost prohibitive and not very profitable as it was a few months back… Back in Jan FTC was ~$.40 cents each and now its at ~$.17 cents each.

If my pool is mining 2 blocks / hr and I earn 1 coin per block on average that’s not even really meeting electric costs at that point.

Last time we had one of these threads it angered the crypto gods and they sent down a whale. Maybe we should make another sacrifice?

                  What should we sacrifice?

I’ll sacrifice a couple of Doge coins :-) Maybe that will appease them! LOL

                      Hurrderr. NOT IT. :P

Seriously, though, I just put all the rest of my BTC to help wall up at Cryptsy. It’s not a big wall, though, especially not at that coin purchase price.

Feathercoins are probably being dumped too much by multipools + Btc is going down as well… Have faith boys! It will raise soon enough ;)

multipools caused a large sell-off , The new algorithm will change, we need some time. FTC / USD = 0.1 $, I think I can safely buy.

                            lizhi,

I have never bought a coin since I got into the cryptocurrency thing… you know, mining to support the freedom etc etc.

However, with a price this low I may invest some BTC on FTC… you never know!

BTC price has halved from the 1k mark, and FTC has almost halved, so the effect is close to dividing the value by 4?

Down to 5p and unable to buy any on Bittylicious as apparently there are not enough available. Bad times indeed!

Does that suggest nobody is willing to sell them that low?
