Are these national coins a good idea? Seems like an interesting experiment.

I was onboard with many, many different currencies representing different niches. Interests and philosophies.
Tying to something as arbitrary (arguably!) as a national border just seems redundant, definitely nationalistic.

If Goxcoin is a Goxcoin allocated for every missing Bitcoin from the Gox implosion then I think it’s a really interesting concept.

Yeah, I totally agree, to define a community based on Geography is limiting. Although, there are benefits to keeping things local, and national boundaries can be good ways to define locality I guess.
