I just got assaulted in Hawaii

I was sitting at a park bench talking to my buddy, when this black guy comes up and asks if we are selling weed in his territory. We say of cousrse not and he leaves and goes into the bathroom, when this asshole comes out he goes and shakes my friends hand and then extends his right hand to me(imo a sign of no ill will, sword hand open historically) after I have my right hand grasped in his, he used his left to punch me in the head repeatedly saying, “You don’t sell weed in my territory!”… I called the cops and filed a police report, and even though there are not very many really black people on Maui the cop who took my statement said, “there is nothing we can do” and “if you are not activly in pain its not assault, only harrassment” FUCK THE POLICE.

That’s really shitty. Ive been beaten up a few times by wankers like that. It may be worth looking to see if there was any CCTV about or any shops with it in case they caught it on camera. Maybe that will help your case. Can’t let guys like that get away with it. But I wouldn’t go looking for the guy yourself if he’s a dealer those guys can be unpredictable.

Yeah, since i dont live here the cops dont care. Even if he was caught tried and convicted he would only get a maximum 30 days in jail, or just a fine.

well 30 days in jail or a fine is way better than nothing happening I guess.

30 days in jail is probably more than you’d get for assault in this country when you think about it.
