      Hey all,

With FTC working on a new mining Algo and switching soon I am hoping to see more activity on these forums. When BTC and Alts shot up this spring I began work on my data center. It has been a long haul but I finally have my first 2 machines up and running in the datacenter as of yesterday!!! I still plan on using GPU rigs to heat my house 9 months out of the year, but I no longer have enough cooling capacity from jun-aug, this prompted my move to data center housing. Look below for some pix:

Here is my adopted boxer chasing a tennis ball to dirt through 4 feet of snow…

Here is my part of data center:

Thanks for looking, stay tuned in for updates and maybe even some hosting options soon *wink wink*

Congrats, looks good, you shouldn’t have a problem cooling your cards up there :-)

Just finally starting to run into cooling problems in my house this week, the 40 degree nights are not enough to drop my temps with just window fans :( The daily temps have slowly been creeping up in the house and hit 78F yesterday.

My new 6x GPU rackmount mining cases will be here in less than a week and I will move almost all of my mining hardware over to the data center. As my house cools down in September I will adjust my heat by moving a few open air rigs back into my house for heat. More pix to come stay tuned!

One thing to try with your dead cards. I had a dead 5970 that i thought was kaput. I took everything i could off it and placed it in the oven at 190c for 10 minutes, then re-assembled. This was back in January i think and it has been hashing perfectly 24/7 ever since! Deffo worth a try! What have you got to loose?

                  :D

I’ve baked GPUs before and got them working but they eventually fail again.

Server chassis are out of production, powder coat this week, then shipped up here to the data center (no those are not all mine…i wish)

If anyone is interested in renting out a 2.1+ MH/s Scrypt-N(Can mine anything else): 6x r9 280x rig please pm me. I am looking for a first customer and a reviewer for my services.

                          Here are my terms:

                          10 Month Contract

All electricity, cooling, maintenance fees, and constructions costs are included

Miners will mine the coin of your choice on any pool (1 pool per month with basic package)

At the end of the contract I retain all hardware, If you would like to renew at that time you may at a discount

If anything breaks or the machine goes down for any reason you will be compensated with either immediate hash power from our reserves and/or extension of the contract to cover the down time

If hardware breaks, I will replace it at no cost to you and I will compensate you for any down time required to complete the fix

                          What you have to do:

Buy a mining contract and let me know where you would like your machine to mine, that’s it, I will do the rest for you. There are no hidden fees or % cuts from your profits, you pay for everything up front. There are no pre-orders to cover costs, when you rent your hash power from us it comes from machines running already in our data center.

I just received word that the 2x 6 GPU server chassis I ordered came out of painting today. They should be shipped and on their way to the data center tomorrow. I would guess that I will have them up and running with photos by the middle of next week. I am still looking for a first customer who is interested in renting out the miner and providing a review post here and/or send me a pm. If I don’t get anyone no skin off my back, all of the hardware is paid for and will mine for me.

I like the concept, but I did some math on the prices and it’s almost impossible to make ROI as it is right now. Are these prices aimed more towards users wanting to mine after a possible algo change? :)

The aim is to simply have a set it and forget GPU miners. Depending on the package you buy I will also do the work to add more algorithms to miners and do all the heavy lifting for you. On top of that I RMA all of the hardware if it breaks, I compensate for downtime and replace broken hardware. You get the hashrate you bought for the time you bought it guaranteed. With Bitcoin prices under $500 almost no GPU miners were looking at a straight ROI if sold when mined, however as bitcoin prices go up the ROI numbers change drastically. Unlike ASIC vendors I will not price adjust due to increases or decreases of ROI, my prices are sole based on a per unit usage of space in the data center and computer hardware costs.

Tired of dealing with GPU mining rigs and having to fix them, add or update mining software, finding optimized GPU settings, or deal with broken hardware? I have all of it covered, just tell me what pool you want to mine at and the machine is yours to use.

After a two weeks worth of trouble shooting I finally have my first two servers stable 24/7/365. Found out that the default debian network manager has a bug when using static IPs, whenever the network would drop briefly and reconnect network manager would crash the kernal and make the rig unresponsive. Pictures soon to come, hopefully around 5pm est tonight.

My remaining 3x 6 GPU 4u rackmount server chassis got shipped yesterday and are on my way to me which is good because having all those GPUs sitting is just killing me!

More pix to come, been so busy these have taken a back seat. I have rig #3 built and running, #4 is built and needs to be setup. Managed to tear my rotator cuff moving full servers around by myself so now I cant work unless I have help from my lovely girlfriend. While installing #3 into the rack last night I tapped one of my exhaust fans and the motor shredded itself and now will not run properly.

I have managed to get building these down to a science almost, it took close to 4 hours to get the first one built. I managed to almost completely assemble rig #4 in about an hour yesterday.

I didn’t think going from 2 rigs to 3 was going to be noticeable, after playing with GPUs for over a year now to mine with I am accustomed to this hardware. Once I hoisted the third rig up, slid it in place, and started it the grandness hit me… there is just a massive wall of hot air and noise coming from this 4+ foot tall wall of computers. I wont have enough GPUs to finish rig #5 for probably another month but after 6 months of work and planning I am so happy to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
