Hi everybody I got my self in some wallet trouble looking for advice from the community. Here is the scenario, I installed a wallet on my mac computer, encrypted it, and than did not use the wallet for weeks. So I than deleted the wallet. About a week after that the Russian BTC-E rumors began so I wanted to get my coins off BTC-E. I than reinstalled the wallet and it was already encrypted but my passphrase was not working. I can not find the original encrypted wallet file but I have backups of the reinstalled wallet with coins in it but the passphrase is not working. Thank you in advance for even having a look at this post and please help if you have any input.
(I’m trying to recover deleted wallet encryption now)

      Thanks,
      Jamie

I’ve heard very good things about Dave’s service: http://www.walletrecoveryservices.com/

I’ve never used it myself, but he has several reputable recommendations. But caveat emptor… do a Google and decide for yourself if you think it’s legit (and don’t point the finger at me if he just takes your coins, I’m just trying to help).

Thanks for the response I have already contacted Dave and he is working on it already. I haven’t heard back from him when I explained the scenario to him. Thanks for the response

That’s another success story for Dave. He’s good appearantly!

Can you tell us the details? Did you give him a ‘close but not quite it’ password, and he recovered it through brute-force?

Excellent. I was actually scared for you. Nice one Kevlar. I never knew such a service existed.

Actually dave did not recover it for me because he did not have the original backup, but he was very helpful and honest. I would recommend him to anybody SERIOUSLY! Folder structure was the problem and my dumba$$ for deleting that file.

When something happens to you, good or bad,
                    consider what it means.
