Added another line asking if you get HW errors. I am going to work on putting together a FAQ for people to read so we can point them there for simple questions. If you guys have any links, guides, or suggestions of things that should be in the FAQ post them here or PM me.

I’ve pinned it for a bit in Mining to see if the template idea is useful to new miners asking a question.

I have a thunder x3 and just got a cyclone x2. I am using the image from zeusminer on my pi. I have had my thunder running fine for a day. I got in a cyclone today and have plugged it into the usb hub. I’m trying to figure out how to get them both hashing. would i just goto the ip address of the pi and in the rpc for zeusminer program add the chips together?? any help would be appreciated.

Program wise I’m using the zeusminer image on the pi, where i just go to the ip address of the pi and enter the path etc

Wish I could help you…I am not an ASIC guy, never caved.

Glad to see this stickied. Added in the PSU line as mentioned above that it may be helpful.

**Hey guys, It’s been about 6-9 months since I stopped mining. I’m looking to get back setup to the neoscrypt but i find myself over thinking. I’m no pro with computers but I can follow good directions. Only in dummy language though. Pre neoscrypt I was averaging about 800 kh/ per card (gigabyte r9 290) with neoscrypt I can only get 27kh/s per card. Thanks **

                GPU (including manufacture):4 gigabyte r9 290
                Mining program(s):
Mining Pool: nut2 (which i don’t see myself being paid)
                GPU Core Clock: 1000
                GPU Memory Clock: 1500
                Thread Concurrency:0
                Average KH/s: 27k
The rest of your miner settings:

                setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
                setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1

                cgminer.exe --neoscrypt --no submit-stale -o stratum+tcp://ftceu.nut2pools.com:5567 -u runawayxxxx.diamond -p xxx -w 512 -g 2 -I 15 – gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1500 --auto-fan --gpu-powertune 20
Any thing else you deem important: why isn’t there anything with neoscrypt in your command line
The nature of your problem: only getting 27kh/s each
Are you getting HW(hardware) errors when mining: Never

I can’t post a picture but I went from cgminer 3.7.8 wemineftc to sgminer on theblocksfactory. I went from 151kh/s to 272kh/s per card no lagging cards from the base setup. NO HW errors 1R=64. Gonna try wemineftc with sgminer and see te difference.

                          Thanks again

Sorry, I have not replied sooner, I dont know a ton about those cards. When I get a chance I will do some googling and see what I can find. One thing that I do notice is the low Core and Mem clocks…you may just be running them to slow and out of the sweet spot. Most of my cards were running some where between 1000mhz and 1150mhz core and 1500+ mhz on memory.

Awesome! That may be the max for those 290s sadly unless Wolf0 has released the updates for neo. My gigabyte r9 290 runs at around 270kh/s while my sapphire can run above 330…the difference is all in memory.
