[Dev] Feather Address - Client-Side Feathercoin Wallet Generator
-
Just looking at this old link I had to FeatherAddress by Mark Leck on Github:

Featheraddress:
JavaScript Client-Side Feathercoin Wallet Generator
Featheraddress is a fork of the original bitaddress.org project https://github.com/pointbiz/bitaddress.org
Now Feathercoin addresses and their corresponding private key can be conveniently generated in a web browser.
It’s been a year since it was updated so may need some tweeks, the web site example is down. I’m going to test it offline first.

I used it to generate my paper wallets using the offline version. It doesn’t seem to be as complex as the current bitcoin version, no mouse record randomisation. There was talks a while back about having it built into the main feathercoin website too. I think Bush was talking about it.

Depending looks useful

That looks great. Are you setting up a Fork and pushing your changes to Github? I’m just thinking “that’s another thing to do”, (get feathercoin address up on 95.85.57.10:19327.)
Have you looked at how the featheraddress software works?, it could help us understand PBAs.
For instance, could the software be hacked to generate an address “using a valid address as the seed?”, instead of a random number. The software would generate a new private key pair as a normal address. If the private key for the meta encryption is thrown way at each transaction and acts as the transaction envelop to make PBAs (relatively) trivial.
Also, I am looking for contributors for “Listen 2 Feathercoin”, that could be themed and has some interesting work setting up API and or API calls. That would be instructive about provide knowledge of useful API features to a web host. I need to push the work I’ve done so far (soon).
