Solo mining possible?

Really want to solo mine.
Noob question:
Is the latest version of the wallet for windows able to solo mine?
I cannot open my wallet in server mode… no matter where I look online… I’m unable to, and the posts I found mostly go back to 2013.

If you want to solo mine you may want to look at Phoenixcoin as they have moved over to NeoScrypt already and even CPU mining can be worthwhile.
If you have a graphics card it may be worth following the beta test preview of the soon to be released GPU miner. As that would make solo mining a good choice.Have you got much experience with mining?

I have nearly a week of mining in total :)
I have an asic miner!
Really like the idea of the community for feathercoin… and did think of n-factor and such before buying… I shall see how it goes… and would like to build a gpu rig one day if it could hold it’s own… need to have a read and learn mining a while extra I think however.
I’ve been pool mining for this week and it’s enjoyable right now :)
