How to mine on W10 with AMD
-
Hi everybody
I am new to FTC, can’t find a clear how-to !
I have downloaded FTC core wallet, and am currently syncing - as far as I observe the progression, it ll take an hour or two.
I have sgminer and NSGminer, but :
I don’t understand where to create my FTC address to use with miners
I don’t know where to find a proper .conf on command line for a 2Gpus AMD card with the good pool !
please help !

I have reached it, found a pool, don’t know if it is the better :
the block factory
but it is 2% fee.don’t know how to tune my command line,
I only have 1 AMD card running at 866.82 KH, don’t know if it is good or if I can reach more with fine tuning.somebody ?

I reach more or less 1Mh, but with 5-10% of invalid shares !

1.13 MH/s 27.96 KH/s(2.41%) seems stable with nsgminer
Ill try sgminer with several version. If somebody has information to share ;) I ll wait !

Hi Dirt,
first of all welcome to the forum :)I don’t have much experience with AMD cards, but your numbers show good to me.
The larger pools charge typically between 1% and 2% fee, so the fee you pay is quite normal for a operated pool.
There are decentralized pools using the p2pool software out there, which charge smaller fees, but provide less services.
If you want to check the p2pools, you can find a list of active pools at p2pool.neoscrypt.de
You can select a pool node close to your location from the list and connect your miner directly to the pool, using your wallet address as user name and any password.
No registration is required.Last, but not least, I suggest, that you post questions regarding mining and the setup of your rigs in the mining area of the forum, where more miners may read it and there is a better chance to get responses.
Happy mining :D

OK thanks !

Hi Dirt and welcome to FTC forum. Note: the best place to post questions is on the forum, support for wallet / feathercoin daemon and mining for mining…

I’m running a pair of MSI R7 370’s and get better rates from nsgminer (~280 per), though you have to be more careful of overdoing it with intensity settings & heat than sgminer. I run the 15.x crimson driver on win7, so can’t help with win10, and don’t know if the 16.x drivers are ok or worse with neoscrypt like they are with ethereum ethash on any win version.
I’m also running a pair of EVGA GTX970’s with the djm neoscrypt miner, and get 650 per card without pushing them, 700+ if I do.
