Mining Problems
-
Hey guys, I keep running into the problem while gpu mining on cgminer with my R9 390 (latest drivers). It seems most people on the internet get a good 400 KH/s but I’m stuck at under 200 (170 kh to be exact) so I was wondering if someone could help me out and either tell me their settings or how others are getting higher hasrates btw I’m using coinotron as my pool, also if I sound stupid for asking this sorry I’m very new to feathercoin and I suppose neoscrypt in general.

what intensity value are you using?
-
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
cgminer.exe --neoscrypt --no-submit-stale -o stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3337 -u Notputtingthis -p notputtingthis
-I 20 -g 1 -w 512 --auto-fan --temp-target=85 --temp-overheat 92 --thread-concurrency 32765 --lookup-gap 2 --expiry 1 -s 1
–gpu-engine 1100 --gpu-memclock 1585 -

-g 1 -w 64 -I 16
-g 1 -w 64 -I 15
-g 1 -w 128 -I 16
-g 1 -w 128 -I 15also tinker with settings a bit more if you have time, sometimes you can get lucky
-
Once I start it, it simply starts putting the intensity down to 8
-
@RIPPEDDRAGON do you mind putting you full settings and such please because I could start tinkering with those

Okay so I decided to switch to NSGminer and my hashrate is above 200 (270 khs) but still I feel as if others are still getting higher hasrates then me here are my NSGminer settings
nsgminer.exe --neoscrypt -g 1 -w 128 -I 16 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1500
-o stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3337
-O Notputting -p Notputting -
My R7-370’s (re-branded R9-270) get 275KH/s, o/c’d to max (1150/1500), nsgminer intensity @ 13. You should be able to get a little better than that on an R9-390 (re-branded R9-290).
What driver version are you running and on which windows? The latest 16.x crimson drivers generally don’t do as well as 15.2 for other algo’s I’ve run. I’m running 15.2 on win7, and also some nvidia cards on win7 because of driver issues on win10 (WDDM sucks worse, essentially).

I’m running the latest drivers on windows 7 I set my intensity to 16 and oc’d but I’m still getting fairly poor speeds, this guy is getting 550 khs

I dont do anything special:
nsgminer --neoscrypt -g 1 -w 128 -I 16 -o stratum+tcp://104.236.34.9:19327 -O 6e3ozu798fKvNUCSwRjPMRdnrJ27dCHEPm/0+0.00300:lol -o stratum+tcp://71.215.85.159:19327 -O 6e3ozu798fKvNUCSwRjPMRdnrJ27dCHEPm/0+0.00300:lol -
Use older drivers like 15.7.1
