New FTC POOL - http://www.feathercoinpool.org - 0% PPLNS + STRATUM

Hi All -
Thought I would try and contribute to the Feathercoin cause by creating a 0% fee feathercoin pool.

PPLNS @ 100000 shares
Stratum only
Dedicated machine for the pool. Server located in Texas, USA (RackSpace).
Would be great to get some miners over there to help out getting the hash rate rolling.

One thing you should do right away is NOT publish an IP address for the pool. Since you have a domain name registered already, you can create a subdomain that would point at the pool, like stratum.feathercoinpool.org that would point at that IP. That way, if the IP ever changes, the change is transparent to the users.
Otherwise we’re very excited to have another member on the scene, and PLEASE let me know if there’s anything I can do to assist you with your endeavor. We’re here to help you!

Woops, I almost missed the inclusion of POOL in the URL.
Seeing as YACoin still owns the feathercoin.org address, this could be confusing.
Pretty nifty for someone complaining about how poor he is, he can buy domain names that aren’t related to his coin and point them at it … Oo
I agree with Kevlar about the name. Should be an easy thing to include.

[/quote]Thank you for the suggestion. I have updated the stratum address to the subdomain: stratum+tcp://pool.feathercoinpool.org:3333
Would be great if I could get a few users over to the new pool to help get the hash rate up. Right now we are essentially solo mining… :-[
