Wallet not syncing after not logging in for a long time

Hey ya’ll,

It’s been a while - I’ve dusted off the old QT as the chatter is starting to build and I’m getting into it again - but my wallet won’t begin to sync.

It’s saying that it’s got 8 connections, but it won’t download anymore blocks (says it hasn’t downloaded any for 2 years or so - which is strange because I’ve opened it a number of times since then - possibly just to make sure the coins were still there though and not really paying attention to whether or not it syncs).

Anyone know a fix? Non techie please!

NB: I’m on a mac

Can you provide the software version of the Wallet?
Also did you check the logfile for unusual entries?

@goodheads The android wallet does not synchronize, either. You cannot send or receive and the only message you get is, ‘This payment has not been transmitted yet.’ I don’t see how this coin is going to gain acceptance if people cannot use the client wallet.

The android wallet needs to finish syncing. I use the android wallet and ive had no problems with it on a samsung s7

@aciddude @RTadros The android took a little while at the begining to sync with the network but no different to the BTC wallet i have on my PC. Now its synced i can use it no problems at all.

you may want to check if it is stalled if it is and has been for a while try going into settings and reset blockchain. thats what i had to do on my tablet due to crappy WIFI connection in the hotel.

Hello and welcome back. If you say you “dusted off the old QT” …can we assume you are running an older version ?

The latest production version is 0.9.6. You can download the Mac DMG from the GitHub Release or from www.feathercoin.com - Please remember to backup your wallet.dat and private keys before you upgrade.
