LOL, ok, have successfully downloaded a wallet, which is “out of sync” but it is synchronizing ; catching up fast, was 4yrs and 14 weeks adrift, less than 4 yrs now… rofl

Thanks for the update, sync is always an issue. You can get more details by opening the /Menu/settings/Debug window.

Also click on console and type commands - getpeerinfo - will tell connections, we can add peers as well with - addnode.

The Network traffic shows a chart of data coming in and out.

@Mungo will get many connections after some time. He doesn’t need to do the addnode. He already has connections, as his wallet started to sync, and the other nodes will provide the information about more nodes

Unfortunately, 0.9.6.1 is still a bit slow to sync from scratch. It was quick on my upgrade catch up.

I’m testing some stuff on it at the moment (like going back to 0.9.x after installing 0.11.2) so have had to re-sync a couple of times. I’m on 1 year 44 weeks left.

At least, if you start the debug module, you see it’s running (and a few more node never hurt, if you fancy getting nerdy).

It won’t matter much to you but the 0.11.2 sync is working quicker, and we are looking at might taking some (informational) debug messages out, that slow down FTC in partcular, to speed that up a bit more.

@Mungo Mine finished a couple of hours ago. 14 connections. Looks like you’ve stalled.

try restarting Feathercoin-qt.

I found this might help : add switch feathercoin-qt -shrinkdebuglog
and restart again, in windows it would be feathercoin-qt.exe the launcher.

Tx for your support. No, its not that wrapper, been off grid for a few days, even so maybe you r right, still 2yrs 28 weeks adrift. Anywayup it appears a lot of hassle for a crypto-wallet. Not that sure that I want feathercoin any more. Surely there must b other avenues to acquire a feather-wallet? …
