Newbie with Big learning curve! *struggling with cmd line*

Hi all,
Lack of reward from rendering/folding brings me to look at mining!
I was trying to sort a problem myself but i am going to have to give in and get help! there is a thread below about the issues with new downloads of the wallet and then it not being able to go past 751.
I don’t know what i can, and can not post yet for safety (REALLY new)

So it seems i can fix this by adding some bits into the command line… i have the bits i need to add, saved, but i have tried adding it where i thought was right (days of folding and such) that doesnt work :( spent most of the day arguing with this and trying to avoid defeat and asking!
So list of questions to date…
How do i add things to a command line?
Is the hullcoin still running? HC website is… urhm not very informative unless im looking in the wrong place. is hullcoin a “brand or part” of feathercoin or its own thing? Can i mine just hullcoins?
Due to work based software i am forced to use nvidia gpu’s and xeons. is it much point mining on xeons?
With a new pc build loaming, am i going to see good results from a k20 for example or mid to high range quadros (7/10) i have no choice but to use nvidia due to work./… work-day, mine-night :)
Current spec: 32g ecc ram, dual 5650 xeons, gtx 780 <— if its pointless me mining on this please do say! From a test it did 311.mhps/0.31 ghps (GPU)

- If I get it you try to do solo mining right ?
- What coin are you willing to mine, actually I don’t know about hullcoin ?
- Let’s assume it’s feathercoin you want, then the error CheckProofOfWork() is aknown issue, sometime stop and restart the feathercoind can resolved it. As I understand it’s your deamon trying to sync but connected on LTC node. There is a hot topic about this issue, and it should be fix in the next realease hopefully.
- About the action of mining, this is my personnal advice : don’t mine if you seak only the profit. For instance I mine FTC, but the mains reasons are : - I kind of like the idea of participating of the “create the money” process, - I aim to support Feathercoin, mining is one of the way to do it. :)

Pool mine was my plan using give-me-coins
My plan was to mine feather coins.
i have researched a lot into the issue today and found a way that seems to fix it, i just don’t know how to add command line flags :( restarting the client every 15 mins worked till, like others to got to the point i am now. next release could be ages away! was hoping to have this running my now :(
Its not the profit i’m thinking of so to speak! i render/fold 24/7 on this workstation. using 22 cores and the gpu at night. if im doing heavy cpu tasks it gets paused or the core count reduced. what i am getting at is the workstation runs 24/7 so may as well be for some sort of gain!
Main thing to fix at the moment is how to add flags. how do i add these 2 flags to try get around this issue as i found a few threads down.
Os is windows 10 :( wallet version is the newest available to download as of 16 hours ago from Feathercoin site. -
Ok then there is 2 things to seperate.
1/ your wallet (this is not for mining)
2/ your miner (this is not for managing coins ^^)If you want to mine on Give-me-coin, you only need to set up a miner.
I think it’s NSgminer you have to check. ;)To launch your wallet with a flag here the process on Windows :
Right click on Feathercoin-qt.exe
-> Properties
-> In the main tab just type your flag after “feathercoin-qt.exe” on the top next after FTC logo.
-> Then click on OKYou are done. ;)

i can setup NSGminer ok it seems just i dont have a wallet ID… tired using the one in the receiving address and that doesn’t work, nor does private address.
managed to get the fag thing working after some googling shortly after your first reply, small error of not copying the shortcut, kept saying path was invalid!
Added the two flags recommended and still doesnt got past 751… starting to annoy me now…

If you aim to use Give-me-coin, you have to pass the stratum address of give-me-coin in your NSGminer command.
You will then set up your wallet address, in the settings part of your give-me-coin account (i.e. on give-me-coin web site).
Hope it’s help I’ll try to find a command I use for you. (could take some times. ;) )

You have to create a worker under FTC in give-me-coin.comThen all should be good.

i have created an account and set it all up ready for when syncing has finished, except for the wallet address because i do not have that yet :(

Well just run your feathercoin-qt and go in receive address, then you got one. ;)
Appear as a non issue to me. :D (As you don’t need to be sync, to have an address) -
Ah when i tried that on give me coin it said it wasn’t valid! hmmm will go have another go.
guessing there is a large risk here any credit gained will be lost because of this sync comedy?

If you have FTC addresse, just save your wallet in order to don’t lose it. ;)

Did 9 hours last night and now have some coins! Lets hope this wallet sync sorts itself out!
