Can I start mining while my wallet is syncronizing?

my wallet is 3 years behind, updating. Also my feathercoin core wallet, i don’t see any address id for wallet, will this appear when syncronized? using ubuntu 16.04,

There is many a thread about the current wallet sync issue and how to resolve it.
i found my wallet address by going to overview, receiving address.
Mine was there even without it synced. i was also told to wait till i transfered anything until my wallet was up to date.

Ok Thank you. In my overview, it doesnt have that, I can select a different TAB, ‘Receive’ - there is a line called ‘Label’ , thats the nearest I have.

I think something is wrong with your qt-build, as you are missing some menu entries
As you build the wallet from source, please check, if you have a contrib directory, change into it, locate the feathercoin-qt.pro file and if it is there, run a qmake feathercoin-qt.pro
Then move all files created by the qmake to src/qt/forms directory of the build tree and build again.I hope that will solve the problem.
If not you always can try the PPA mentioned above.
