Feathercoin up 400% in a week

@taurus not suprised since the price has quadrupled. More profits for the miners. Wonder how long the price rise will continue.

Actually, no. Since the network difficulty has also quadrupled, the profits are essentially unchanged.

@taurus hmm, looks like it’s only gone up about 2.5 times to me. 20->50. Profits should be significantly better, until everyone else moves :)

Don’t underestimate the hashrate thrown in by the multipools. They switch on and off, creating peaks in hashrate.

Was a fairly consistent 1.2-5gh until this madness! Gone from 20-30 coins a day depending what i had mining to around 10 with both cards at max :(

Yeah… i’ve not cashed out just yet… going to risk it!
Wish i hadn’t cashed out 250 coins at 850 just a week ago! Part of trading i suppose… i am not mining to make money, that’s just a bonus towards costs!

well it’s gone way back down now… to what it was… but still nearly double what it averaged before this jump.

I am in no way trying to say that I had anything to do with the rise in price…because I seriously doubt that I did.
With that being said:
I went onto a few of the crypto discussion pages that I follow about a week before the jump in price, asking if anyone had ever heard of FTC. I was scouring the internet for a profitable mining opportunity, and somehow stumbled across FTC. I read about the project, and was really intrigued by it. As most of you know, Feathercoin IS a great coin. After reading about it, and asking around to see if anyone had ever heard of it, I never ended up buying any, but I kept it on my radar. 3 or 4 days after I started talking about it, it had this crazy jump. I am still kicking myself for not buying in when I originally found it. I have since become an avid fan, and this is the first coin I’ve ever mined.
Like I said at the beginning, I’m not saying that it was my fault, but it sure was a strange coincidence. Maybe we have more influence over these Alt markets than we think…who knows…?

not entirely true, our/your presence in the forum promotes an active community. without us its likely feathercoin would go away. … now if it ever REALLY took off the relative importance of anyone person would go down dramatically.

Still didn’t get around to buying some more coins as I was waiting for a drop. Looks like the new bottom has been set.Where else can we buy these easily? They keep getting bought up on bittylicious too fast.

Where else can we buy these easily? They keep getting bi actually (briefly) had started a new thread in the main feathercoin discussion asking basically if anyone knew what was up. i deleted it when i decided not enough time had passed, probably more of what was going on here.
I actually went to bittrex and just got the enchanced approval so i can trade there if the price continues to climb. https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/feathercoin/trading_exchanges they seem to do 98% of it.

yeah looks like I am going to have to go coinbase + bittrex and start with all the approvals, no way round it :)
