Hi, can you lay out all you research and evidence for your conclusion?

Ok, reporting in.
Tested fresh download, install and sync.
The sync ended last night (i was sleeping at the time), time now is +4d10h, so the sync stopped at about ~ +4d5hThe sync was done on an HP TM2-2190,
gpu is Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD (it has a switchable ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4550 gpu but i wanted it to run cooler if it was about to stay on for a long time).
Energy cpu profile was min5% max 100%.
Resource monitoring showed an average cpu usage of
core1: ~20% and core2: ~70%Internet connection is an ADSL2+ synced at 19mbps down/1mpbs up
Internet interruption occured once a day - based on my router scheduling
Internet outages - only Isp and God knows, forgot not to auto flush router log, sorryCpuid shot:

It is the CPU that matters, HP TM2-2190 is quite a “slow” (1.2GHz) notebook laptop. The 50% average CPU usage shows why it took 4 1/2 days…

so my computer is like this
i7 7700k 4.2 overclock 4.6
2 ssd drives
16 gb Rams 3200mhz
Motherboar Asus hero maximus 8 alpha
and GTX 1070and still waiting for the sync man It has been almost a week i think

I have a similar PC with 32 GB RAM, it took 25 hours with bootstrap < 48 hrs online. Over numerous tests.
We know you can still be “unlucky” and it be longer, but that was a compromise increasing a temprorary memory allocation (without denigrating normal operation). Future updates to the blockchain code base will address the main speed issues.
Version 0.11.2 does the a bootstrap.dat sync in 2.5 hours.

Could an automated update server be implemented, whre the application could pull the bootstrap file automaticaly?
-
So what exactly I must do here , wait for the next version or keep running my computer until sync
-
I suggest the same as loads of other post, you need to have your PC on till sync. Stopping and starting the PC can delay further (picking up peers). If you are under 2 years to go, and it appears to stall, you can restart the program.
This is only an issue during initial sync, which will take a lot shorter than that in the next version.
