Quick question for everyone also for @AcidD
On the Feathercoin.com site when downloading the new wallet. The site says Version 0.13.0.0 then when i download the Windows version it says Version 0.13.1.0.
Which one is the right version to download? -

It was just a label issue, the links already pointed to 0.13.1.0 wallets. I changed the label.

Hey dude. Sure I’ll do my best.
Do you have access to either a Linux or MacOS machine ? My idea is to try and load your wallet onto another machine and try to access it.
We need to figure out if this error is windows only, which is why I’m suggesting MacOS or Linux.
-
Also what you can try to do is run Feathercoin-qt from the command line.
So
1 - find the feathercoin-qt.exe (usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Feathercoin\feathercoin-qt.exe
once you have found the feathercoin-qt.exe file…
2 - Load command prompt and navigate to the folder location
cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Feathercoin\
now you should be inside the directory that has feathercoin-qt.exe on it.
now we need to try and salvage your wallet so run the below command when you’re inside the directory that has feathercoin-qt.exe in it.
feathercoin-qt.exe -salvagewallet
Example:
let me know how you get on.

Sorry for the late update. I had some personal situation to attend to. I have another windows PC which I am loading the wallet on. Then I am going to try it on the other laptop.
The feathercoin-qt.exe -salvagewallet didn’t work as it crashes my computer. I know you are trying you best to help me. I am greatly appreciated. It’s frustrating that my coins are “Locked” in a way.
-
Hope things are ok.
let us know how you get on with getting your coins back.
-
Still nothing. I get the same error. I installed the Windows version of the wallet on 3 different computers and still get the same error. Something about Line 198 in the Feather Coin code is causing the problem.
Let me know if that help @AcidD
-
The only thing I can suggest is to try on a Mac or Linux machine and see if it loads.

Okay I will Find someone I can trust. As Even with the salvage I was not able to open it.
@AcidD I do have a question. My secret passcode had a Asterisks in it. Would you think that effected the wallet from not working? -
