Roadblock to adoption of FTC-This forum (opinion)

When researching Feathercoin as an investment or to trade, one will come across this message board on coinmarketcap and probably search the recent posts only to find that they need to sign in to read the posts.
In an impatient world that involves a lot of usernames and passwords, many people don’t want to create yet another one.
If they do decide to register on the message board, they will find that they have to check boxes agreeing to receive emails and to share their “personal information”. it is not possible to opt out of these choices.I don’t know the inner workings of this website or why it’s set up like this but I believe that making this message board viewable without logging in will increase awareness of what is going on with the coin and will entice more people to register to comment or ask questions, this will increase the frequency of new posts and discussions.
This message board appears dead and that looks bad for the coin which I believe has great potential and know from experience that trading it can be quite lucrative and long-term I think could be one of the best choices out there for everyday transactions or settling balances inside a larger payment network.
Even me, being a believer in Feathercoin I did not register on this board until today, and only to make this post but now that I’m here I’ll look around and probably participate.
I just want to propose that this site be made viewable to people who are not logged in and if possible to remove the requirement to receive email updates and share personal info before being allowed to register. The gopal would be to get more eyes on the discussions about Feathercoin and it’s future. -

I don’t agree with that statement.
Even for guests the Forum is open for read access, which means a visitor can browse through the topics and read the posts without the need to register to the Forum first. What is not permitted for guests is to post to the Forum and the use of the search function.
We decided against an open forum with write access for guests to avoid spammers and bots posting here.

@radd0ge what access did you gain by making account? (beyond what wellenreiter just said)
