        It makes logical sense, why mine the coin which is going to take you over twice as long now and provide around 1/4 of the profit that it did. Any sensible person who’s using cryptographic currencies as a way to make money will always move their hardware around to the most profitable coin.
        Swings and roundabouts, just stick with it and reap the rewards in the longterm. Casual miners are the ones who will ALWAYS lose out. >.<

          Yup other than owning 20+ x 7990’s there isn’t really much we can do about it :)
          It’s annoying to think we will get through these next 2016 blocks ‘slowly’ but ‘surely’ only to be owned by the bigger rigs when they jump back on the profitability train, and then once again we will be left to mop up the shit they leave behind for us :-\

            Mhmm, unfortunately that’s just how it’ll have to be. At best I can toodle along at 1mhash with my 7970s but until the weekend it’ll be casual mining as usual from me.
            I wish I had the money to put more investment into FTC for you all but that’s not going to happen for a few years yet :x

              Well I’m in for the long term and not for a quick buck. I wish more people saw the long term potential rather than quick gains pumping and dumping coins all over the show.

                It’s not good for followers of a specific coin that hopping is so easy

                Mine a lot with their supper rigs until the diff is to high and let the long term people clean it up.
                For now the confirmations are too slow to keep Feathercoin up and running.
                Retargets should be quicker if the hash rates drop like they did now.

                It’s the people with a lot of money and hardware that can benifit from crypto so why is it different from the large banks / governements this way.
                The big get bigger whilst the small keep struggling.

                    At it’s current pace and decline, I’m expecting something around the 14-21 day figure myself. Although, do note that’s my personal view of it all. :P

                          Hashrate keeps going down, so I also expect the retarget to increase to 16-18 days :-(

                          And then all major hashrates will mine it again to an exploding diff to drop out again afterwards

                                            Yeah >:( the new difficulty will be very low tho, probally alot of miners will come back then.

                                            As shadow said, they will be hopping on and off then…
