Please help his cause.

Dear Bitcoin community,

I am John Graham and I am a volunteer fund raiser for the Wycombe Half Marathon event to help people affected by cancer, which is going to be held that date 21/07/2013. The marathon is a fund raising program that provides aid for the fight against cancer. In my search for funds I have discovered the growing market of cyrpto currencies and I am asking your help. I am trying to raise 9500$ in order to help fund the Wycombe Marathon.
The 1$ donation is just as welcomed as a 100$ one. Please help our cause and donate us.

You can check out my fund raiser site here: http://www.justgiving.com/Wycombemaraton, which will provide you with more information

Every single dollar can help us save human lives. Please help with your donation to the following codes:

What i’m saying is that Marie Curie Cancer Care exists so if people truly wanted to donate then they might be able to do so on that website. Although, they don’t accept crypto currency.

I know that the charity exists, what I’m concerned about is this “project” or what ever that guy want’s us to pay him for.

A few details on the timeline of this request. User Raymondka posted this at bitcoin talk today. He has only 7 posts. The only user who replied to his post and donated bitcoin is user Kujmandosz who has only 14 posts. Now in the same day Kujmandosz re-posts this here where he has only 5 posts.

If you look at the website it is indeed linked to the marie curie cancer care but that is no indication that it is not a fake account. There are no online donations yet. I find it strange that a trained marathon runner, (gold medal in the image?) who has “just discovered” cryptocurency, is pushing for cryptocurrency donation before normal fundraising. There are only two images posted. one of them is a photo of runner. Other running sites that carry that image list it as “Johnny leatham.” The resolution is pretty small. The other image is of a crowd waving balloons. Also tiny resolution.

I really hope this is real but I would say that the burden is on “Raymondka” to prove this. until then my opinion is

Indeed, i did a google image search and come on different names such as Johnny Leatham, and other sites as ‘braintumourresearch’ http://braintumourresearch.org/images/stories/Jonny-Leatham-Marathon-2010.jpg

Don’t know what to think about it…

John Graham,

Hi guys,

Thank you for your interest in helping us. I am a new volunteer member for the Marie Curie Cancer Care Organization. That is why my website is brand new. My job is to help raise fund for events like the marathon, and to find new ways to get donations. I have found the bitcoin community as a growing community so that is why I thought this would be a good idea. I am jut trying to help my community in any possible way.

Please help us to save the ones affected by cancer.
