Shortly after I received the 48 FTC for the block, my auto payout kicked in and transferred me what I’d made that day (totalling 56.9 FTC).

Hey mate,
Maybe shares you earned via guiminer when you couldnt see any output?
Either way take your coins and run to the hills :0

Gui Miner wasn’t on long enough to earn that much. At the time of getting that 48 FTC, it’d only been on for no more than 24 hours.
I was happy when it was all confirmed and in my wallet :P -
Tbh mate 48ftc is probabley about right for four/five days of mining with your new rig config
-
Now what will you spend it on? :D
Truuuuue. But I’d been mining for less than 24 hours!

Mate, more than that 600~khs maybe 23 ftc per day at diff 133~, over 36 hours i think your golden! If you have bunce in your wallet confirmed?; sit back, max and relax it!
Yup! I use that a bit, Bob. As well as Coinwarz.com
Another quick question for anyone reading (sorry!).
At the moment my rig is just sitting on a piece of cardboard, which is not ideal. I’m thinking of placing some of those rubber pieces that go underneath furniture. However, I’m not sure if my system is grounded. How would I go about doing this? Using one of the PC building wrist straps somehow? -
Hey mate, just use some rubber feet with a sticky back. Hobby Craft, Robert Dyas etc. I just use a few to support the MOBO and allow a bit of airflow.
You should be fine if your are using a modern, high quality 3 pin UK plug PSU (Self Grounding) You won’t need to earth the system as the MOBO is grounded via your PSU and the PSU of course has an earth pin(UK). The the 12/5V power cable to the MOBO has a ground pin.
Many modern PSU have all sorts of safe guards build in above and beyond; thermal fuse cutout, over/under-load, short circuit etc etc
If anyone else wants to comment on this one please be my guest?
I’m running 5 open airs rigs with Fractal design PSU’s and no issues so far, i have also been building PC/Server rigs for over 20 years so I’m sure you will be OK!
Disclaimer: All advise taken at your own risk of course! :)
Cheers

Champion, as usual, Bob! What you said coincided with what I’d researched. Except for the fact that after I turn the rig off, the screen turns off and it shuts down, but the fans and LEDs on the mobo and the GPU stays on. Odd! So I just turn it off at the wall. I thought this might be a grounding issue.
-
Dont turn it off! Even shutdown most PCs pull some watts, the MOBO is still alive for USB and wake on LAN etc…
We use Sun Microsystems work stations M40s (Dual socket opterons) as our main PCs with Nvidia GTX280 (counter_strike source) even off they pull 20ws so dont worry about! :)
Get some rubber feet and relax :0

Interesting.
Cheers Bob!
